**OMT** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC VS. Watford FC** FA CUP 4th Round

Pleased we're through, but that was an poor and boring performance. Hope its just a one-off and that our terrific premiership continues.

It's the FA Cup, teams like Watford raise their games against bigger name teams. We did well/had luck to weather the storm.

The difference was one of our match winners got us a goal.

Several players need to step up though if we're going to finish in the top four.

"Happy to don't have play this game ! LOL"

Considering how tough it was, and how poorly we played it is a fair comment. Poor game today, but a win is a win. Does show how important width is for us, and why if we got injuries out wide (e.g. Bale) we would be considerably limited. Maybe not having Harry there all week is also one factor why things didn't go great. But as I say, a win and onwards to the next round.

Walker was quite mobile but hardly completed a pass all night.

Indeed. Random sprints forward which much have been pretty draining but achieved very little. We forget how young he is though, still learning the ropes.

Wish more of his crosses were threatening although with the combined movement of Ade Defoe and VDV it must have been difficult.

In the hat on Sunday, who gives a fudge how...this is one competition where we can save the graceful beauty of a winning dynamic Tottenham Hotspur masterclass for Wembley in May, when we hopefully stick it to the Filth or Man U in a stunning display of footballing genius thus ending the season with a trophy and CL football!

yes...i like the sound of that...come on you fudging feckers!

ooh you big butch potty mouth!

Shocking display and Ade is shocking with his head. Watford deserved more TBH feel quite sorry for them. A win is a win though.

Why do people feel sorry for Watford? Football is about scoring more goals than the opposition, and they didn't do it. Only their own fault. It's not like they were cheated by a bad ref.

As for players having to step it up to finish top 4, you mean like what we have been doing all season yeah? ](*,)

That was an embarassing win. Watford almost outclassed us. We were very lucky they didn't have a top class striker, otherwise they would have beaten us by 4 or 5 goals. We have never been convincing in Cup matches under Redknapp. So, this was hardly surprising. It seems Redknapp just can't lift the players for Cup matches. The players just didn't turn up for this match. We hardly looked like capable of winning the FA Cup.

Really disappointed with the team lineup. Can understand we need to take the Cup matches seriously. But why field almost the first team when some of them have been badly out of form in recent matches ? Players like VDV and Adebayor have been playing badly in recent matches but Redknapp still plays them instead of bringing the likes of Pav and Kranjcar. As a result we hardly tested their goal. Even the goal by VDV was due to goalie error. What's the point of having a big squad if you don't use it. The least Redknapp could have done is make the changes early in the 2nd half insteaf of bringing Pavly in injury time !

Don't think any player deserve any credit from this match. Some of the players like Adebayor and Modric hardly touched the ball. Our defence looked the worst, making mistakakes after mistakes. We were lucky Watford couldn't take the chances. Dawson and Kaboul have never been convincing together. And this match just shows that. From a PL title chasing team, suddenly we looked like a Championship team ! It was a miracle Watford didn't score atleast 1 goal for all the chances created.

Well, despite the shyte performance, the important thing is we won. In Cup matches, the result is far more important than the performance. So, with us now in Round 5, let's hope we somehow ride ur luck to go all the way to win it !

reading that - I would have guessed you were a gooner

are you sure you haven't missed anything to moan about?

VDV was in motion most of the time at least trying to make things happen. There were two categories of players playing in this match
- those who were trying but it wasn't coming off for them ->VDV, Rose, Walker, Kaboul, Dawson, Livermore
- those who weren't really trying - Defoe, Ade, Parker (yes I though he was shocking), Modric (maybe ill), Lennon

I though we needed a good solid performance to dispel any lingering hangover from the Emirates Marketing Project match but that wasn't it.

I'd like Harry to use his squad a bit more or were likely to see player burnout like the tail end of last season.

Ah well we're in the hat.

It was one of the worst games I have witnessed in fairness........a complete shocker. Best part of the game was leaving 5 mins from the end to beat the rush to the M1, it was that bad. But as has been said, all that matters is being the hat for the 5th round......home draw at the very least please!!!
