Amazingly, there are 20 stadiums bigger than ours in Europe, despite us being the newest stadium. Wonder if we should have increased the capacity to at least 75,000 to break into the top 10 in Europe. After all, if England win the right to host the 2030 World Cup, we need to hope we will be chosen as one of the host stadiums. But almost all major English clubs will have stadium capacity of around 60,000 by then and it is going to be really tight which stadiums will be chosen as the hosts.

Relentless.

Maybe we should have bought Wembley instead then?

Why does this matter in any way at all?
I wonder if, perhaps, very experienced construction professionals looked at what was feasible and people with financial insight at the club with responsibility for the future gauged what would bankrupt us and what could be (at a stretch) afforded and be worthwhile.

Why do we need to hope we'd be a host stadium? It'd be nice if our home is on TV but that is it. It would be nice.

If the list was based on stadium income we'd probably be top 5. Those extra seats at the back won't make much of a difference on anything except a list like this. They were looking at three London stadiums for the last WC bid and who in their right mind would include the Death Star and the Taxpayer's Stadium over ours?

Agreed. We should leapfrog ARSEnal up to 4th spot when we move into the new gaff, maybe even go ahead of ManUre if they drop back down to Europa Cup.

Eight of them are national stadiums though. And then you have Barca, Real, Manure, Bayern and the Milans, who are massive clubs compared to us. That's basically 13 stadiums off the list, who I don’t see any reason for us to complete with, size wise.

I think NWHL's capacity is just perfect. A massive increase but still not too much for us to realistically be able to fill up on a rainy Wednesday evening.

Our design and facilities are absolute world class. I’m not too worried about a possible tournament, in a decades time!
Reckon we have slightly more urgent priorities on our plate as a club which might just keep us a little occupied until this new suddenly incredible meaningful and important deadline.

8 of those that are bigger are not club stadiums. Another half a dusin + are rarely more than half full.

So the Gazza Tweets seem to have been true then, as there's a shirt for him (far right on that pic)!
I remember Gazza playing that testimonial at the old Lane about ten+ years ago (Vs DC United, or someone USA anyway) and he had absolutely gone. Looked like a pub player at best.
Klinsmann still looked class. Dean Marney was our best player at right back! :D

Today’s match is being shown online in Italy for Inter fans. As the match isn’t being televised, or shown online in the UK, the chances are that the supporters who watch the first streamed match from ‘White Hart Lane’ will not be Spurs supporters but mostly Inter supporters. Would have been a nice Touch if the match was streamed online on the official Spurs website.
