Local press up here reporting that Spurs opening offer of £20M will not be entertained.

Are you skint or something? Wijnaldum has endeared himself to the Liverpool fans by saying he met your manager and wanted to sign for you but you couldn't afford him!
 
If we get desperate then perhaps loaning him for a year wouldnt be a disaster. Saudi Sportswashing Machine might go for that as they'd get him back when they get promoted (assuming they do). I'd like to see more like for like cover for Dembele brought in though

Excellent when he's good, but very average quite often. Maybe something for Poch to work on? 30 mill just sounds too much for someone that's such a hit or miss though, but I'd be happy if we signed him.
 
Whenever I saw Saudi Sportswashing Machine last season (bar when they spanked us!) Sissoko looked awful. But then he looked good for France in the Euros.

Overall, I don't rate him. But we have freed up space in the midfield with Mason and Bentaleb gone.

Would not trust him to stay the course, if things did not go his way for a couple of games.

I personally would not want to hear a player wanted to sign for an other club but chose us because of the money, but I'm old fashioned. I'm sure we have enough money for the right player who wants to prove his worth to us rather than someone with an inflated ego who's agent tells him he's worth £120k a week.
