We can now confirm the appointments of Joao Sacramento, Carlos Lalin, Nuno Santos, Ricardo Formosinho and Giovanni Cerra as part of new Head Coach Jose Mourinho’s coaching staff.

Joao joins as Assistant Head Coach from Ligue 1 side Lille, where he worked in a similar role and has also held the same position at Monaco. Nuno also joins from Lille as our new Goalkeeper Coach, having enjoyed a playing career in Portugal and Major League Soccer.

Carlos will take up the position of Fitness Coach, having previously worked with Jose at Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid, while Ricardo and Giovanni will take up roles as Tactical Analyst and Technical Analyst respectively. Both have also worked under Jose in the past with Ricardo, a former manager of Santa Clara and Kuala Lumpar, having spent time at Old Trafford, while Giovanni worked as an analyst at both Chelsea and Manchester United.

It sounds like the Lille Chairman is not going to let Campos go. Right now Campos is going to have to ask to leave (sources say he won't) or Levy is going to have to throw a big sum at them.

This is probably more than just taking a manager from a club, as Campos is in the middle of everything at Lille. We might get him, but I wouldn't expect it to happen until the summer when Lille have had a chance to sort their structure out.

It just means Levy has to pay loadsamoney to get him.

But we should. In many ways, bringing Campos in would be the biggest coup we could pull off - bigger than Mourinho himself.

Campos would revolutionize our signings and transfer structure, and we could finally get the combination of shrewd signings Levy likes with transfers actually being done on time instead of 500 years after initial contact, because Levy wants to save .5 fractions of a peso on the fees.

Plus, Campos might be the only hope of getting Mourinho to agree to a few cheaper signings instead of massively expensive ones - he trusts Campos, and Campos trusts him. Otherwise, Mourinho might just revert to asking for the biggest-budget players he can get.

A DoF is also essential for clearing the deadwood in a reasonable amount of time and for us having any chance of getting Mourinho to use youth players.

Negotiation, it's more the "you will have to pay" message

Same when Chelsea took FA from us.

I certainly hope so!

Really sounds like one of the best at what he does, and having that ready made relationship with Jose is the ideal cog in the machine for us.

And I genuinely believe, as much as Levy seems to get off on haggling, that Levy would prefer to leave people to it on the football side.

Arnesen and Comolli were given fair autonomy werent they? And under them we didnt struggle to identify or buy players.

If we could get Campos in, Levy can get back on the business side. Start negotiation that trillion dollar sponsorship deal or his own NFL franchise...

Campos has said he wants to work with Mourinho on his next project. Mourinho gets a new job, basically hires the entire staff at Lille, where Campos works, and you're trying to tell me Campos isn't going to join? Get out of here. It's a question of when - he simply must be part of this plan, anything else just wouldn't make sense.

Full support behind the manager please.
Great to see Mourinho leveraging on his network or proven names.
I recall asking who is this Jesus working with Mourinho - even Google didn't help much then

It would be good to see Ryan Mason getting bumped up - as he gains more experience of course. Just to help keep a bit of a connection etc...

We'll be needing someone to deal with loans to Standard Liège.
