Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

We are so well drilled.

Even if some players are not available or a 2 or 3 below their best we still have a high minimum level because of the coaching and system.

Well done Poch

This, against the CL champions we looked disciplined, organized and still able to threaten.

Ballsy with the selections and subs, all players contributed and worked their asses off.

Constant evolution with Poch. Maybe it was planned, to always get us to the point where we would be able to defend and attack when required. Maybe it was a case of making us confident to the point of second nature in our pressing, so that if we did have to play deep in some games we could easily get it back. Or maybe he got to the point where he realised we couldn't press (or play like children) against the top teams.

But this season it's just great to see either way. We really look like a top team. A professional team. We do what we have to do to win. But we also play some amazing stuff when we are flowing - and have key players still to come back in the team.

Excellent tactics from Poch tonight, I hope he comes up with some more for Liverpool, as them and Emirates Marketing Project tend to give us the most trouble of all the teams in the league.
The result and performance reflect the spirit he has instilled in the club. To play away against Madrid without our two specialist left backs, with a midfield two of Dier and Winks, with Sissoko and Llorente in the starting 11 and to have the chances to win is amazing. Poch and his team have already given us so many proud moments and I hope to Hoddle we get more and better.

COYS!!!!

After the high of yesterday evening I seem to have come down a little. Okay, so it was a famous performance, but what would people be saying if we'd lost? Madrid haven't hit top form this season and were missing Bale (although not Ramos, the bastards) -- who would probably have torn Aurier a new one. That's not to put Aurier down, mind -- there are few players in world football who can deal with Bale.

Still, we're within a match of qualifying from arguably the toughest CL group out there. If Wanyama and Dembele are fit for the home match, along with a fully fit Rose, we've got every chance of beating Real Madrid. At Wembley. How good would that be?

They were also missing their right back

But we were missing out first choice Centre midfield (where the game is won and lost) and our left backs (plural)

They haven’t got top form I agree but we didn’t give them the room to play and did our job so well

We will see Madrid play at Wembley in a few weeks and that will be another test

Bale is not what he was. Injuries have robbed him of some of his explosiveness. I honestly think that adding him to that RM team would not have made that much of a difference.

I'm so pleased we have him, he's exactly the manager we needed at this club. From what I've seen and read in his interviews he is a club manager and gets involved with all aspects of the development of the club, unlike Conte, Guardiola and Mourinho who are just 1st team managers who want to buy success, we aren't that type of club at present and I think he's the man who can work with the chairman to take us to be level with their clubs.
