LG smart tv - apk files

Hey, just wondering would anyone know can apk apps be downloaded and installed on an LG smart tv? Recently bought one and some of my favourite apps are android based and i can't seem to find a way to download them onto the tv? Just wondering would anyone know a way?

Unless it is an Android smart TV and you have memory available you cannot. If it is Android then use ES File Explorer, lots of guides on youtube

Thanks for replying guys. So I signed up to IPTV and apparently the football cuts off just at kick-off if you don't have a VPN. just wondering does anyone know any IPTV services that offers football without the need of a VPN? Sorry if not allowed to discuss here, if so could anyone pm me?
