Well I hope not. He is a brilliant young player from what I have seen especially when played in midfield. Yes, he still has a way to go in some aspects of his game but I feel confident Poch is the right man to develop him. Loans like this one to Villa don't always have to go swimmingly well for the player to learn something. He is a perfect understudy to Dembele in my opinion.
 
This is the kind of performance I was hoping to see him put in this year. Much closer to his England form.

As a lot of people are saying, he's finally had a start in the middle of the park. I wonder why Bruce finally gave it a go?

Because he had tried everything else.

Bruce comes across as the sort of coach who probably knows all the tactics and all the right positions but is limited by his skills set so does not used them correctly. He reminds me of the old Morecombe and Wise piano sketch about playing all the right notes just in the wrong order.
