One swallow doesn’t make a summer, he played very well tonight, albeit making saves that he’s expected to make. but we need him to play very well in every game.

Tonight will quickly be forgotten if he makes another mistake.

He has won us the draw last weekend and is MOTM tonight

He may well make a mistake soon again but it happens when your human
 
Not MOM for me, but love him to bits.

Hugo did everything asked of him tonight. Cumulatively it was an excellent performance. What do I mean? Every save he made you'd have expected him to make. Even the one harder one where he had to leap to his left. Any top tier keeper should make that. Truth is Dortmund didn't take their chances. But Hugo didn't make the slightest error, so it was a perfect performance - he saved everything he needed to and held onto a lot of shots. Kane won the game for us. Hugo saved everything that was fired at him - litterally at him - apart from one shot.

But make no mistake he's a vital player for us.

This, the amount of mental pressure the guy has taken off the club in last two games will be pivotal if we go on to anything decent this season.

Draw turned around a disaster week, and by not giving Dortmund anything in first half prevented us every really being in danger in tie.

What peeved me was they managed to get some decent shots off in very tight spaces. The kind we struggle with when playing teams sat back. It made me think why can’t we do it
 
285 appearances?! Wow, well done Hugo. I guess it makes sense when you think how long he’s been here but still a big number. Definitely one for Spurs folklore along with Brown, Jennings, Clemence and Erik!

Meanwhile, Lloris has urged the club to make significant signings in the summer transfer window following a season of inactivity in order to show "ambition at every level."

"There are top quality players in our squad who could play for any club in the world and who train every day to win," Lloris said. "But there is the risk that they run out of steam.

"We all now need to feel the ambition of the club at every level. I love the club; I love the people here. Winning something here would have a sense. I can see the difference between the state of the club when I arrived and today.

"We manage to be very competitive with a completely different philosophy to our rivals. To give us even more credit, we have to win something. We're going to have one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world, and that's great, but we have to accompany that progression: I think it will be very difficult to take a step up without recruiting."

"The Tottenham project is the Mauricio Pochettino project," he said. "He has been there years -- he has done extraordinary work and even though he's not yet been rewarded with trophies, it's very, very high level stuff.

"I'm not going to hide it. It's more than a classic captain-coach relationship. But we know how to separate things. There is a lot of respect between us."'

This is the main point for me.

Being overly harsh on the Board, Chairman and owner there.

It's not like they are sitting by idle (see Mike Ashley etc); they have been delivering a huge project that helps takes a huge leap fwd at a time of political and economic uncertainty.

Only a few years ago people were bemoaning not having the stadium yet. We needed it "compete". Well, it's almost here.
Sometimes you just need a little patience.
And a little perspective - we are competing still.

The summer should see the start of a whole new era. A new club wide platform.

Its also not so long ago that some of those same fans were saying " Levy will never build us the Stadium" " he will pocket the money and run".

How wrong/stupid/short sighted those fans were.
