What has Wheelchair ever done? really? Same as Lee Hendrie at Villa at those years ago - lightweight, tippy-tappy, left-footed CM who actually never hurt oppositions and just shuffled 5-10 yard passes left and right

The Arsenal hate is flowing out in some of the above posts. Wheelchair is a very good player but he is never fit.

Next time you watch him play, focus on what he really contributes and how he hurts (or doesnt hurt) the opposition. Completely over-rated

    Wheelchair is an excellent player.

Winks looks v good too. Would like to see him be our 5th choice CM next year ahead of Carroll who we could get 5m for. Has more bite and athleticism plus Carroll is 24 now and if Poch rates winks he needs to give him a window

Or 4th choice if Mason is used more as an AM. I think Winks can fill Bentaleb's shoes now.

In your eyes maybe but not mine, the problem for him with SOME Spurs fans is he plays for the Arse and the bias comes through.

That's it in a nutshell, very talented player who if fit would be an asset to any club. He acts like an absolute a*** but so do so many young players. If I were running a club I would ban all staff from Twitter and other forms of social media.

Agree with that, as for teletext the only think i have agreed with what Cameron ever said is " something I've said a hundred times before".

Seems like we do the opposite. An extract from the article linked in the Poch thread :
The club invested in improved social media over the summer of 2015, bringing in The Times journalist Henry Winter to advise players on how to communicate. Unlike other clubs, the players were always on message, but nonetheless it felt natural and not contrived PR fluff. The Dier-Alli bromance blossomed, photos of the squad eating together were shared, a mid-season trip to Barcelona was a roaring success, and created an impression of harmony.

Unfortunately for some people, there is no amount of media training that can stop them being a tw*t.

But back to Winks - he certainly did his chances no harm at all today.
He did say in an interview afterwards that having Wanyama alongside him (in the first half) really helped him.

It's like the Emperor's New Clothes, all companies feel they must have it as their IT and marketing people think it allows them to communicate better, but you just encourage the village idiots to contact you and your customers.

it's an important part of growing the brand these days - and easy to implement and run smoothly if you take the type of approach we have re Glendas Legs post above.

He carries the ball that much better than Bentaleb. Sad to see Bentaleb go, but Winks seems more rounded. Early days though, Bentaleb himself looked very good when he emerged into the team.

Still I think Poch will feel comfortable playing Winks in first team games this season! He should be on the bench and get some starts.

I don't doubt his footballing potential - in my mind a fit, on form Wheelchair (which will probably never happen given how much time he's lost to injury) is a fabulous player - it's the fact that he's such an odious little guttersnipe that chaps my hide.

Wheelchair maybe a quality player but he has been injured for so long that I have simply forgotten how good he actually was. All I can remember was how ordinary he looked during the Euros. It has nothing to do with him playing for that lot. I cannot imagine even a one-eyed Spurs fan not appreciating how much of a top quality player Sanchez is.

Winks seems to have that little nasty streak in him like Alli, he's not afraid to put his foot in and doesn't mind defending although he does commit to some challenges too easily. I do like how he's happy to receive under pressure and is confident in his ability to turn players and run at the next line of defence. He's got to get better with his decision making as there were a few times when he tried to overcomplicate things when he should have kept it simple and times when he was overly conservative.

Nearly all the players that come out of our academy now do - Rose, Mason, Bentaleb, even Kane. It seems to be something we are deliberately breeding (and looking for in players we buy). Even off the pitch, the Kane and Mason Stoke dressing room rebellion demonstrated a new aggressive fighting meteorology that I don't remember seeing before.

Kane's "hoof-it-high-up-into-the-stands" when he was about 30 meters offside, is still one of my favourite moments ever! That was one of his first important games for us, wasn't it?

Edit: So good it merits a video

Ruins it by flobbing down his top though
