Harry Kane MBE

Remember how the media went nuts when Lukaku scored a few at the beginning of the season? Jizzing all over themselves praising him. Kane just does his job, and suddenley he's top scorer again. Lukaku hasn't scored for weeks, it seems.

FWIW... so frustrating that Kane missed our visit to Old Trafford and the chance to show a global TV audience of glory hunting ManU fans who is the better forward!

I absolutely feel we'd have won up there with Hazza fit.

Kane seems to be hitting the woodwork too many times this season. He has already hit the woodwork 6 times so far this season. His record was only 7 in 2016 which was also the most in PL that season. I think he will easily surpass it this season.

Odd thing to focus on. He hits the woodwork more often partly because he takes more shots (and scores more goals) than most and partly because he is so much more accurate than most. He's hitting the woodwork whilst others are ballooning the ball over the bar or hitting the corner flag.

Remember a striker has only a very small target to aim at, basically as near to the inside of the woodwork as he can get. So many of Kane's goals are into one corner or the other, it's nothing short of remarkable.

Remember his fk against Brighton second half? It was aiming for just inside the right hand post but the goalie just got a fingertip top it and managed to tip it onto the woodwork from where it bounced out. That was a typical Kane shot and I don't know of any other striker that so regularly places his kicks near the post so often.

So let's hope he keeps on doing it because the more he does, the more he's also going to score.

State the obvious time, but what a joy it is to see someone who is going to go down as an all time great for us.

He might look less silky but the lad is right up there with the best in the world, I don't care what anyone says, his stats add up

Well done for saying it. Because we need to say it.

Not only that, we need to keep on saying it, because he is such a special player and these are such special times, just how special we'll know well enough once they are gone.

Should Ottamendi be sent off for kicking him in the head in your opinion?

Could have been, but feet raised that high are not always punished with a straight red card.

However Harry really shouldn't be going in with his studs up like he did. Those challenges are much more likely to be red carded and tbh they are much more dangerous than overstretching with a raised foot towards the head

Sorry mate but that's rubbish, Harry's what 6'2 and he' jumping and kicked on the top head. That's a red card all day long.
I'm sure man citys keeper against liverpool would argue with you tgats not a dangerous kind of tackle.
I agree Harry's could have been a red but it would have been harsh.

Harry should have seen red!
Dele likewise!
If Harry and Dele had done that to our players we would have been incandescent with anger.
And a reddish-orange one for the high kick.

We count have argued if either had been sent off, but the ref set the tone by not sending ottamendi. That was the worst tackle of the day.
Heads need to be protected. End of. Ask Czech, ask Ryan mason, if these tackles aren' punished how long before we have an injury like that?

It's not rubbish. There was a huge debate about whether Mane should have been sent off or not. It really Is up to the ref. More players are sent off for Harry's type of tackle in comparison to Otramendi's
