It's all a bit doom and gloom in SNV. Not anyone's fault, obviously the current mood is not great due to events occurring currently with our beloved bastards at The Lane.

Hence, starting this thread. An area where we can reminisce about some of the wonderful gentlemen who have proudly worn our Lilywhite battle armour. I know some of us on here don't see the point in harking back to past virtues, but basically screw you. Much like the great moments thread, hopefully this can bring some cheer in the short term until that ominous feeling of hope enters our hearts in the pre-season. Although Spurs-related, thinking it might be best to keep it away from the unfortunate negativity of SNV at the moment.

I'll kick things off with this Adonis.

    David Ginola

In quite a depressing era for our club, David was our Gallic Knight mesmerising us with his silky skills and impeccable technique from the left wing.

Ah, come on dudes. It's not just about the players that have left recently. We've got 130+ years worth of players that have warmed our ****les! If someone were to post some videos of Greavsie or Hoddle, no way should it make us feel down. We are a brilliant club that has had some of the greatest players in the game plying their trade at The Lane.

If you would prefer, I'll source some vids of Colin Calderwood, Gilberto, Stephane Dalmat etc to make you guys feel better ;)

Let's celebrate the players that have helped shape our club.

The last Tottenham player to win the Golden Boot award (with his 21 league goals haul back in 1992/93) and described by Jurgen Klinsmann as the most intelligent strike partner he ever played with, I present to you Edward "Teddy" Sheringham.

The last Tottenham player to ditch us for ManU, back before we struck up a "partnership" with Real Madrid, the languid genius that was Dimitar Berbatov.

The midfield maestro who orchestrated Spurs' passing tempo for 4 glorious seasons, the Croatian wizard Luka Modric.

Watching that Berbatov vid from 06/07. He really was outstanding that season, what a shame it ended like it did. Could have been one of our all-time greats.
Damn that Danchev and his meddling

I always enjoyed it when Paul Robinson came back to the Lane.

Really wished he didnt have that dip in form, could have still been here and been our modern-day Jennings or Clemence

:ross: Quality video, and two quality strikes. Despite some of his faults I still miss BAE

Goof grief. Just watched that Bale video again. Its not just the fact he scored 31 goals, its the quality of the majority of his strikes, bar say 5 or 6, they are all superb goals.
The last 2 in particular are fantastic, and that goal at Swansea just superb,no wonder the goalie doesnt move, what can you do against skill like that?

What a massive massive loss. Okay maybe we had become the ultimate one-man team, but what a one-man that was

Just thinking about it. We had the 3rd best player in the ****ing world playing at The Lane. And a player that will be listed in years to come as one of the all-time greats in football, no doubt in my mind.
