American politics

Someone please just assassinate this qunt.

The way to beat him is with policies, at the ballot box. The Democratic Party can do that if they actually allow their base to elect the Presidential nominee of their choice without rigging the game in favour of whichever candidate Wall Street likes best.

Then you expose Trump and the Republicans for being the con artists that they are.

That's about diverting water from natural reservoirs into rivers which would otherwise run dry, isn't it? Good for fish and for preserving environmental amenities, doesn't particularly help California almond growers.

Or it's just an excuse to get rid of some environmental protection laws.

“The ignorance displayed by the president is a serious national crisis,” Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) told Shareblue in an interview.

Garamendi pointed out that California water policy is not to blame for the fires — climate change is.

“Every day is a fire season day” lately, Garamendi said, especially in southern California. That’s because the state is now entering its “third decade of significant ecological changes as a result of the climate getting hotter.”

Trump’s bizarre claim that California is dumping perfectly good river water “into the Pacific Ocean” echoes a bogus talking point conservatives have used for decades to attack California’s environmental preservation efforts.

Completely unrelated, Trump is a big hero in the Russian city of Asbest after his administration recently decided not to ban the use of asbestos.

In a Facebook post, Uralasbest published pictures of its Trump-adorned chrysotile asbestos, writing: “Donald is on our side!” The post thanks Trump for supporting Scott Pruitt, the recently departed head of the EPA, “who declared that his agency would no longer deal with matters related to side effects potentially caused by asbestos”. It adds that Trump called asbestos “100% safe after application”.

Uralasbest, which is located in the mining city of Asbest in the Ural Mountains, is reported to have close ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin, who Trump will meet for talks in Helsinki next week.

Asbest was once known as the “dying city” due to its high rate of lung cancer and other asbestos-related health problems.

Trump has previously voiced his support for asbestos, calling it “100% safe, once applied”, in his 1997 book The Art of the Comeback. In the same tome, Trump wrote: “I believe that the movement against asbestos was led by the mob, because it was often mob-related companies that would do the asbestos removal.”

I can think of something else that's dangerous to millions of innocent people that a mob-related company could help with the removal off.
