Their coffee is alright but I think that it is a little over priced. I cancelled my membership after their introductory offer. I have a couple of decent coffee merchants near me and I prefer buying from them or Monmouth if I am passing one of their shops.

M&S single origin stuff is pretty good for a high street pre-ground coffee.

What kind of flavours do you like in your coffee?

If you can find a proper coffee shop they'll grind it for you there. Most will be able to recommend good blends based on your taste too.

Unfortunately they're about as common as proper record shops and wine merchants are.

M&S single origin stuff is pretty good for a high street pre-ground coffee.

I like Nero. Don't mind the Kenyan roast stuff Starbucks are doing. I only have an Amercano. No milk or sugar do the stronger the coffee flavour the better.

I work in Hertfordshire, plenty of decent areas with specialist shop. I will have a look around.

My missus used to work in a decent coffee shop and I've been to the London Coffee Festival quite a few times with her, so I have earned my coffee clown shoe badges

tossiness aside, just try different stuff and see what you like. My taste has changed, I used to like coffee that I could stand a spoon up in but much prefer lighter styles now.

Haha. No. I spend most of my time in London these days and I am actually a coffee lover - I refuse to drink instant, keep a cafetière on my desk at work and have three different methods for making it at home.

But this Nitro stuff, it was weird, looked like Guinness and was pulled out of a tap and tasted like pickle vinegar.

Been using a Moka pot on and off for years...

Came across a (hipster) video on the net for how to make better/different coffee with it:

Essentially pre-boil the water and cool the water container down towards the end with running cold water to make the coffee less bitter.

Only tested it a bit, but seems to be something to it. Not actually done a side by side comparison. I change it up between espresso coffee and a lighter roast "normal" coffee in my moka pot, usually fresh ground with my distinctly not very good spinny-crushy grinder. Pretty much always mix it with some heated milk though.

Congrats on the new job mate – I’m very jealous of all that free coffee!
We have some instant nescafe in our office…

I really liked Pact and had tried pretty much everything that had on offer thanks to introducing a lot of people to it, but as good as the coffee was, it was very expensive for what it was. s I can go to a local place and pick up some freshly roasted beans for £4-5 so I haven’t really ordered anything from them in six months.

I was actually going to start up again in the new year and try a few new ones before going back to local offerings but I got half a dozen bags of coffee from Whittards as Christmas presents. It’s not as nice as Pact’s offerings but considering I have about 2 kilos of the stuff I ought to drink it up!

On their Guatemala Elephant Coffee at the moment – description on the pack sounds nice but it’s so over roasted you can barely taste anything.
