It would bring back many great memorys for sure but it would also be sad as i do not think we would ever have a player to match him again. It has been over 30 years since.

And yet he made the incisive pass for their winning goal.

Bayern in for Eriksen....yep can see him there and probably a much better fit for him than circus Madrid.

Plus for us, if two are interested, we might squeeze a few more £m and a guarantee he goes in Jan rather than any pre contract gonad*s.

I thought that too re Bayern but then remembered they had Coutinho on loan. Might be hard to squeeze them both into the same first 11?

Bayern Munich are one of those who have been repeatedly named as suitors, despite the fact they signed Philippe Coutinho in the summer.

Lothar Matthäus is having none of the rumours, though, claiming that it would be surprising to see Eriksen swap Spurs for Die Roten.

“I have been following the player for a long time, and he has disappointed me so far in 2019,” told Sport 1.

“A transfer to FC Bayern would not make any sense for me and would be very surprising. For me, he is not a player who helps Bayern.

“If he is not enough for Tottenham, he is not good enough for Bayern. Uli Hoeneß has also said that Bayern do not need substitutes.”

For Matthäus, the issue lies in where Eriksen would fit into this current iteration given the players already at their disposal.

Bayern signed Coutinho on loan from Barcelona this summer, in a deal that could well be made permanent, while they also have Thomas Müller who prefers to play the number ten role.

That would leave Eriksen fighting two players for one spot, a battle Matthäus doesn’t seem to think he’d win.

“Eriksen is a fine technician, a typical number 10. But he’s too slow, and Niko Kovac likes fast players,” he added.

“For me, Eriksen is not the kind of player who makes all the difference at the highest level, so concentrate on the transfer of Kai Havertz next summer, and you still have Philippe Coutinho, who plays well as a ten.

“Do not forget Müller, who can play any position offensively and should not give up, I stick to it: Eriksen makes no sense to me.”

No chance unless Hugo is back. Messi is too small to be backup for Gazza.

Yes. Are you saying you think he's good or not? It is unclear.
