Is anyone aware of any other decent players at the top 6 clubs that are in the final year of their contracts?
Other than Ramsey last season have any other decent Bosmans happened in recent years?

Yet all six players remain part of the group, but Eriksen, who is not interested in signing a new deal at Spurs, says that is not an issue.

"It doesn't matter at all. Everyone is professional and in all clubs there is talk of players going away," he told Danish news outlet Ekstra Bladet while on international duty.

"That side of the matter has no bearing on how we have performed so far this season.

"If I, as a football player, took all the rumours to me, I would float on a cloud. But I know that it can't all be true. It does not affect me what is written."

He does accept, however, that he is having his toughest time since joining the club in 2013.

"It's definitely my hardest time right now at Tottenham," he said. "The first year when I came was probably a bit up and down, but since Pochettino came in 2014 it has been a success story.

"Expectations for us are at a completely different level now. We have to win every time and it's the same feeling we have as players as well.

"We as players must try to keep all the negative things completely out. But the reason for our results is actually hard to answer. We can't close the matches, even though we are ahead. But we have also been unlucky."

If its not affecting his form what is?
He admits himself he's having a tough time, so why?

I suspect he's a dirty liar, but what do you expect him to say?

    I don't think he's a liar, I think he's in denial.

Speaking to BBC Africa, he said: “Obviously my head was a bit all over the place at the beginning of the season, but I had to nail down and just get on with it because the team deserved that.

“I had to put my head down and play my football. I would have been hindering my own progress by moaning and not wanting to perform properly.

“I have too much respect for my manager, the fans and my team-mates to treat them that way. It was a thing where, 'OK, this hasn't happened, but I've got to get on with it.'

“I've got to prove every time that I'm the top player I claim to be, so I had to get over it quickly.”

Zaha stopped short of pledging his long-term future to the Eagles, but their flying start – sixth in the Premier League after eight games – has been of some comfort.

He added: “I'm seeing how it goes. I'm a Crystal Palace player and I'm just trying to perform to the best of my ability for the club.

“The season's gone well for us. We've got a lot more in us and everyone's happy with where we are right now.

“Last season I set myself a target of 10 goals and I managed to get 10, so I was happy. Hopefully I can reach my goals again – that's all that is on my mind.”

Says a lot when Zaha = very much derided on here on a personal level = shows the like of Eriksen how its done....

Has Zaha been playing well this season? Looked terrible against us and from what I saw of their match against West Ham on Saturday he seemed very quiet in that game as well.

Started slow and improving, from what I can tell. Certainly hasnt been bad - except against us where the whole team was collectively brick.

Point was more - how to handle ones self.

The problem I see now with the wantaways all having seen Lloris's injury is that it is likely to focus their minds even more sharply on how all their best-laid plans might be scuppered in an instant, and make it even less likely they will want to put in a proper shift. I don't believe Eriksen for a minute, if he says it hadn't been affecting him already.

One of the most over rated players in the Prem ( imo), and as for handling himself well i am not sure he ever has, moaning and getting a move to Utd and then bombed out of there, bitching about not getting a move this summer and handing in a transfer request. And spends most of his game time moaning and bitching about the number of tackles he has to face.

The problem I have with Eriksen and Alderweireld specifically, is that they fail to recognise if they are to get the mega move/mega contract they think they deserve they REALLY should be playing to the best of their ability.

I would also ask why the complete lack of interest in either in the summer didnt seem to sober them up, give them a slap back to reality

Is that based on what you’ve seen or guesswork?

What did he do against us? Did you watch their game against West Ham? He did very little indeed I thought.

Eriksen will end up at a very big club earning a lot more than we would pay him.

I didnt. I catch a bit of Palace if I can but to be honest I dont watch huge amounts of football outside Spurs.

Work with a rabid Palace fan and he seems very pleased with Zahas attitude and improving performances, as he sees it.

If he keeps playing as he does, while he might end up at a big club on big money - I question whether he would be any more than a squad player got in on a free, and if they had to pay for him if they would be so keen.

He isnt good enough for Spurs now, on the pitch, and his attitude must be sending up warning flares.

Why would Madrid look at him and think "just the guy to come here and be in our team"?

I’ve got two in my office and both think he is clearly just going through the motions.

Before the start of the summer people on here were throwing around likely £80+ million likely transfer fees for Eriksen. I said we’d be lucky to get half of that due to his contract situation. You can count on the fingers of one hand players that clubs will pay huge transfer fees for with only a year left on their current deal. Why would any club pay the mad money Levy was talking about for him when they can secure the player on a pre contract in 6 months time and save huge amounts of money?

As this place, and you and I show, its no surprise how differently people see the game.

I completely understand the fiscal sense of waiting.

My point was more - why would Eriksen the player appeal to big clubs, when he has shown he cant actually be bothered to turn out for us.

By rights he could be the best player on the field for us, and at this point I wouldnt even have him in the matchday squad.

As well as the fact there has been increasing amounts of people questioning his ability to actually play on the bigger stages/bigger games,
