Evidently we've picked the same film twice.

Our hero, a grizzled man of action, is drawn into a situation where he has to thwart a group of evil Germans from stealing something. They use their wits, their fists, and their guns to fight back against the German menace. At some point their love interest is held hostage but in the end they save the day and get the girl.

Hans Gruber is a much better villain though.
 
If Die Hard wins I'm crashing this site with denial of service attacks for a week. But feel free to vote for who you like.
 
Watched Raiders last night, essentially it's Goonies with adults. Good story, well executed, okay acting.
Not in the same league as Die Hard.

Raiders is a kids adventure film. A really good one. It feels like a throwback to a 50's, Errol Flynn type movie.

Die Hard is the best action film ever made. It shouldn't be held to blame for pretty much every action film in the 30 years since coping it.
