    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

That every great teams need at least one great player to be a great team is a contradiction; it's still a teamsport - even though Messi, Ronaldo and RvP - to name a few - are doing their best to individualize it. But ofc it's another easy excuse for the money-is-all-crowd. At least we've...

Summer transfer thread, AvB window wrap up pg 1527

It would be up there with losing Hoddle, Waddle & Gazza - and a sad sad sad day.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

If we're gonna continue with a shortsighted approach we may as well stick with Mr. Redknapp. It would be nice with a change to a manager that can carry the players when needed - instead of the players-carrying-the-manager we so often have seen; when they fail we fail since there's been no-one...

    The Official EURO 2012 thread

Defoe, Henderson and Walcott - that's not exactly joker cards to sub in when needed; more of a joke cards (like some of the starters as well). Poor teams and a poor match; as expected from the dullest group by far.

Well, Russia+Germany to the semies from A+B as it looks - from C+D probably Spain+Italy (or France-Sweden-Croatia in that order). Netherlands won't survive with this defence - too bad Portugal probably gets the benefit of that.

Top of our league, so a nice start from my 4 plyers from todays matches.

Putting effort in and get benched no matter what is so uplifting for the spirit... Victim of some classy man-managment.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Hopefully Redknapp will be able to focus more on his Betfair-job soon; maybe he can do it better then - but ofc Redknapp promoting Redknapp is as good as it gets.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

VdV and his first-hand experience: "A squad is very big nowadays and because of that players don't always get attention. Sometimes players who are out of favour are treated like garbage." We've all seen it; except those blind ones ofc.

I'm in - and having RvP as captain for the first match doesn't feel that good; not having anyone from England in my squad feels better :) First draft is a non-Spurs one as well!

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

"I've personally had the hunch that Redknapp fudged up our season on purpose, just so he would get the sack and saving FA some compensation-money he then could collect." Someone could say that and it would make more sense than the qouted accusation.

So we have to play with 2 keepers and 3/5 defenders to get something out of Giovani; the problem in being stuck in numbers and formations and seing it black and white.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Maybe Betfair can buy out his contract and just keep him... Betfair Signs Harry Redknapp for Euro 2012 I guess they paid a lot more than BBC.

    Redknapp

Because people acting like he's the second coming of Messiah isn't tiresome; I haven't seen him walking on water or doing anything close to a miracle during his time here. ...inwardly they are ravening wolves.

    Redknapp

If everything is about money spent - because obviously that's what matters regarding quality - why don't we just make Redknapp the best paid manager in the world; that would certainly make us perform even better.

    Redknapp

Seems like many of the posters have been verbally abused from fans of other teams through the ages, since they are so very happy to argue about 4-5-4 and don't give a brick about anything else. Redknapp is an embarrassment as a professional manager; big-mouted, egocentric and so very...
