    The transfer thread

Think it was him that created the second for Fulham at the weekend by receiving the throw in, working it onto his right foot and then getting the ball into the player in the middle in acres of space.... Very good awareness from him. He has a bit of everything but his price tag is very expensive...

I think Paulinha can do both.

I first mentioned Kelly as an astute signing a couple of years ago. He wouldn’t work as a left back in an Ange team though.

**** Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Fulham FC ****

Teams are no longer pressing our two CBs, meaning they can go man for man with the rest of our team and still have players spare to cover as well. Previously our CBs were inviting the opposition in to the press and then we’d pass it round them, finding our fullbacks in central positions to get...

    The transfer thread

I’m not sure he’ll want a CB type fullback. Our fullbacks play VERY differently to our CBs. id love us to big for Leeds’ youngster Archie Gray, who I think could play as a deep midfielder or a right back for us.

Everyone except Hojbjerg and Bentancur were.

Another team has caused us problems by playing a system where they’re happy to let our two centre backs have the ball, that allows them to get tight to everyone else. I suspect all teams will do this now.

Can’t see us paying that but I think he is a fantastic player.

    Pape Matar Sarr

He was much more than that. Got about the pitch really well, received the ball well, including when under pressure and also used the ball very intelligently. He won the ball through good positioning more than through being a tough tackler (though he was pretty tough)

    Pape Matar Sarr

He reminds me of a young Patrick Vieira but without the discipline issues.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa ***

I think he improved last season and has continued to improve this season. This is only his 4th season in the PL so not particularly unusual for him to still be improving.

I think Emery has improved him as a player, his movement is far better now than before Emery was at Villa.

We had a deep squad for a while uunder Redknapp but not really since then until now. IMO there were two big issues. 1. The fact that our first team recruitment structure went to brick (Hitchen was a disaster) 2. Our youth scouting/structure also went to brick, both in terms of considering...

    Brennan Johnson

I think it is just getting to know his team mates and his role. He did a whole heap of good things right from the very start of his tenure at Spurs, I just think some people expect far too much of young players coming into a new team.

I think he would be an excellent number 9 for us. Superb movement and is a good all round centre forward.

As the ball is not in play I don’t believe that the ref can award a foul. He handled that situation fine, he spoke to both players, Maddison for longer as Maddison continued to argue with the ref and try to make his case. I really do think that the ref handled every situation in the game well...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa ***

Yes. I was there. Villa stood in front of the ball on some of our free kicks . Dragu moved his leg to purposely block one of their free kicks and was rightfully booked (if he didn’t make an active move to try to block it he wouldn’t have been). Our players also stood in front of the ball on...

He (rightly) spoke to both players. Theirs for the provocation and Maddison for the reaction. He reffed the game very well I thought.

The ball hit Dragu because he put his leg up to block it. Had he stood there and their player hit it straight at him then the ref wouldn’t have booked him IMO. I think the ref got that decision absolutely right.

    Son Heung-Min

His goal and assist numbers show he is in our team due to his playing ability.
