**** Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Fulham FC ****

To be fair we had those two giant chances we missed at 3-0 when the game was already over, which skews things.

Personally I thought everyone had been overrating the Villa performance anyway. First half wasn’t much better than today IMO. We just took two chances quickly (and then the red card), whereas today it was Fulham who did that to us.

At the end of the day we’ll always be vulnerable at the back if we’re not pressing effectively. And for whatever reason we didn’t seem able to do that today. Though to be honest I find our terrible passing even more of a concern. Don’t know why it looks so off these days.

Biss ball watching for the goal. Starting to worry about him. At least we have Bentancur as competition.

Sorry if someone’s already posted this, but the laws of the game are pretty clear on obstruction being a foul. Don’t understand why pundits never actually reference the rules when talking about decisions (or indeed fudging referees!)

So tinkled off with Kulu. I can always forgive technical/physical failings more than I can stupid decisions. Just no need to foul when we had defenders back, and we’ve looked vulnerable at set pieces all match.

Yes it’s a contact sport, but IMO that doesn’t mean you can purposefully back into someone to block them with zero intent of going for the ball. If a striker was running toward a through ball on goal and the defender just ran sideways into his path and jumped in front of him, I’m pretty sure...

Couldn’t agree more. Stunning visuals, appalling writing.

** FA Cup 4th Round - Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project **

Disappointing to lose, but pleased with the overall performance - they’re such a good team, and we limited their big chances and had periods of dominance ourselves. Just not enough quality in the final third, but that’s to be expected with Son out and a questionable front three. The future still...

    Timo Werner

Personally I like this. Was clearly a good player pre-Chelsea. Then things didn’t work out at Chelsea, and he went back to his old team with his tail behind his legs - understandable that he couldn’t recapture his old form. A fresh start under a manager like Ange might be just what he needs.

How lucky are we to have Davies and Royal in the squad? Doing such a solid job.

Wright, Carney and Dixon really is a tinkletake.

Yeah I’ve been surprised that Ange always has him playing that way. I’d think he’s more suited to the #6 role - at least he’s decent defensively.

Skipp’s just not up to it is he. My biggest beef with him is always that he doesn’t get on the ball enough. And it’s the same again tonight. 17 passes, compared to Lo Celso’s 31. Get Hojbjerg or Gil on for him.

I do have a desire to find out what happens, but that desire is much stronger at the end of watching the one hour programme than it is 24 hours later. Maybe I’m just more impatient than average, or less willing to binge loads of episodes back to back.

Is it just me, or is anyone else sick of cliffhangers in TV and film? It’s so cheap and lazy, and it’s so anticlimactic - by the time the cliffhanger is resolved next episode, all of that excitement that’s built up has dissipated. E.g. I’m watching the new series of Traitors, and predictably...

    Bryan Gil

Love his energy and intent. But he seems to be one of those players for whom great things always nearly come off, but rarely actually do. He wasn’t cheap, so I keep hoping he’ll take a step up. But I just don’t think he’s going to. I suspect he’ll leave in the summer and we’ll bring in another...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth ***

Couldn’t agree more! Feels to me like everyone’s blaming the lack of natural CBs just because it’s the most obvious thing to point at. For me the goals the other day were primarily the fault of Son, Kulu, Johnson and Lo Celso respectively.

    Mighty Spurs vs Everton

What role is Skipp playing? I’ve always thought he’d be most suited to the 6 in this system, rather than one of the 8s. Glad to see him getting a chance either way.

Same. Infuriates me. ‘Kuluchevski’ is the one that tinkles me off the most. And now everyone seems to say ‘Undogie’ too? Grrrr.
