Lloris - 8 - Could do nothing about the deflected goal, but saved the game for us with his speed off the goal line to get to Ameobi

Walker -6.5 - so so during the game, lost Gouffra
Dawson - 7.5 - Colossal
Caulker - 7 - Solid
Naughton - 6.5 - Not a LB

Lennon - 7 - Worked hard and really fired the team up in the closing stages, turning into a bit of a leader
Dembele - 6.5 invisible first half, got really stuck into the second half
Parker - 6.5 good battling bad passing
Bale - 8.5 - Brilliant goals and an excellent second half

Holtby - 7 - industrious
Dempsey - 6.5 put a shift in on the left.

he got subbed off early for an actual left back.

means he MUST HAVE BEEN brick,

Did people actually watch the match? Dembele was horrendous!!!!!!! What are those 6's and 7's for?

He does not deserve more than a 4 for that game. The only two times that Bale and then Lennon were played into the box this was from two astute reverse passes from Parker - the player who is supposedly only good to "get stuck in".

Worse dembele slows us down to turtle pace. There were at least three occasions when Bale and Lennon tried to play a one-two only for him to turn round and start of those mazy dribbles up a blind alley which always end with him losing the ball when crowded in at the edge of the opponent's box. This looks soooo impressive yet it is absolutely brick and actually counter-productive to our play.

But then of course Dembele is one of the untouchables unlike Naughton who was admittedly at fault for the goal yet stuck at it and gave a decent game.

I see Holtby is still getting the new signing love. He was good in the first half and as for the second i forgot he was on the pitch yet people were moaning and saying Dempsey should come off even though Dempsey had a good game. Deluded springs to mind.

OMG!!!!!!! Punk criticising Parker. Who would have predicted it????

Pathetic - mate! Change your record - it's worn thin after two years in which your agenda against a player whose only crime is to give 150% every f******** game is clear to every regular on the board. Ironically you gave the same points to another player for getting "stuck in" when you have been criticising Parker for exactly this for two years.

That was a fair assessment of Parker, battled well but passing was awful. Think he's generous giving him a 6.5 do you seriously think he played well?!

Did he player better than Dembele - miles; did he play as good as Dempsey - I think so; And please tell me what exactly did Holtby do other after the 20th minute? Answers on postage stamp please

Lloris 8 - not his fault for the goal, very quick off the line
Walker 7 - worked hard and had a few vital tackles/clearances
Dawson 7 - was good at one one ones, but did little to lead the line/organize the defence
Naughton 6 -not the best game; a few tricks but in general never looked like he settled well
Caulker 7 - assured at the back and very adventurous up front
Parker 5 - good back up for sandro, but currently looks like the weakest link in midfield
Lennon 7 - worked tirelessly and won the battle of fitness on his flank
Dembele 8 - amazing player that drew the irk of some of the frenchies
Bale 9 - would have been a 10 if he'd gotten a hattrick. stood up well to tackles.
Holtby 8 -faded badly in 2nd half and being replaced was a good decision, but those touches
Dempsey 7 - put in a good shift, held the ball up well

Subs not rated but special mention to BAE's wicked long pass to Bale who should've scored

AVB 6 - too many changes at the back that resulted in poor understanding in covering for each other especially when the ball is put behind the fullback (the CB commit to cover and the fullback track back to cover the CB).

Lloris - 6.5. Hardly any saves to make, could do nothing about the goal, but great presence, couple of bits of sweeper keeping most notably right at the death - awesome concentration.

Naughton - 6. Overall solid... some lovely crossfield passes (including one pearler to Lennon)... but a few shaky moments. Unbalances the team, as he's not a LB!!
Dawson - 7. Solid as fudge.
Caulker - 7. Same as.
Walker - 6. Same as Naughton.

Bale - 9.5. Magnificent for a lot of the game, if not all of it (IMO), would have got a 10 if he'd got the hattrick.
Parker - 6. Overall, solid, was really good defensively. I'm undecided whether I'm happy with him playing forward balls/thinking he can create, though, because he's extremely average at it (gave it away too much today). He probably should stick to 5 yard passes..
Dembele - 6. Not Mousa's best game. Good workrate! Was in the wars and won some, lost some. Didn't get on the ball much, decision-making was erratic, didn't dominate this game at all.
Lennon - 7. Usual baseline level from Azza - immense workrate, was threatening at times with some superb runs, drove us forward at times (completely missed by the 'pundits' who juist focused solely on Bale)... was lacking a goal threat today though, which is quite often the difference between him & Bale.

Holtby - 7. Bright first half, lots of signs as to what he's going to bring (excellent passing, touch of creativity, good workrate), seemed to tire and fade in second half.
Dempsey - 6.5. Superb workrate, but flits in & out of games. Runs into dead ends Parker style quite often when on the ball... does shoot/is a threat, but arguably shoots too much. At times linked well with our other attacking players, but we need better/someone who fits into this system better.
