The Weekend Thread

Went to Koh Phangan ages ago - what a place. Im sure its much more commercialised now and more akin to Koh Samui. When I went they had the full moon party (just missed it actually) but the entire place had about 500 people and about 15 bars - it was just awesome. So chilled out. Now I dread to think what its like

Was there through December 94, intending to carry on down to Australia to work up some funds to carry on travelling, but after the full moon party, then my birthday, then the Christmas and new year parties I was skint and had to travel back home! (after working in India for 6weeks or so) as I had open return flights already paid for in that direction.

Stayed on Sunset Beach, hung out and partied on Sunrise. When funds were getting low I went out at night with no footwear thinking that would stop me staying out all night (as I'd aggravated an old knee injury so was hobbling around), but still found myself ambling back when folks were getting up for breakfast! Think another month there would have crippled me!

I miss being young, dumb and ...

Just got back from London, spent a bloody fortune, ate some amazing food and drank a lot of beer.

Back in the office tomorrow. :(

Japan rocks. Luckily i get sent there for work 4/5 times a year! Brilliant place, brilliant people and brilliant food

Top of the list for 2014 has to be Brazil!

you might want to start saving now if you're planning on going for the WC - one of the most expensive places to travel atm and id imagine the WC will ramp the prices up even further.

if i go for it, i won't be anywhere near the England games - would rather experience the home atmosphere tbh
