The transfer window thread.

I didn't say don't negotiate just don't over negotiate. We have the weaker hand and ha e to understand that we are on the verge of a total financial loss. 20m is better than 0, 12m is better than 0 hell 5m is better than 0 and pricesly 0 I what we will be receiving in the summer if we aren't careful.

I don't find his performances to be particularly useful and I do feel his presence is slowly down the evolution.

I'd rather see Lo Celso being given the responsibility or other options tried out. We are losing him no at the end of the season and his performances are not of the required standard.

Please understand I bear him absolutely no ill will, he's been a great player for us but that chapter is over and we need to close the page and start a new one.

Indeed, it's a bit like being on a gameshow and someone is offering you a prize of £95,000... do you want to gamble on one more question to try to get £100,000 or do you walk away with £95,000 in your pocket?

Ive no idea, just picked it off of TFC.

I dont even have twitter.

And theres a guide?!
Past performance is no guarantee of future ITK...

Here's how we split each Tier:
  • Tier 1 - Almost undisputed when discussing a Transfer Rumour. They may not be the first to discuss a rumour, but if they are talking about it; then it is almost certainly true, and possibly close to complete.

  • Tier 2 - Known to have current sources, but are still fallible and just short of being considered an authority on rumour discussions. However, multiple individuals or sources from this tier reporting the same rumour may indicate a strong possibility of truth to the rumour.

  • Tier 3 - Unreliable, and not to be trusted solo. They fall into near click-bait practices and are often fighting for relevance in a sea of rumours.

  • Tier 4 - Not to be trusted at all. These companies make money out of ensuring that you read them and they will make up anything to get you to harness advertising revenue.

  • Tier 5 - Absolute dingdong Heads. Why are you even reading them for fudge sake?

Sad in a different way. Think about it, people have been assessing all that tabloid click bait to work out which tabloid click bait to believe, and then applied a scale to it - and now when some flimflam is posted they go back to their list to check if its even believable before thinking about it...

Dude the player is going for free this summer, do you understand that? We get 0 then consider if he does stay until the summer we continue paying his wages until the expiry of his contract.

There is no financial scenario where keeping him is cheaper than taking a lower fee. That isn't billionaire excellence it's common sense.

It's only common sense if you have all the facts and figures and are aware of what the options are, Every company I have worked for operate to a financial plan rather than media puffs and computer game strategies. I have no idea of the figures involved so would not consider saying what the club should do.

With Kane probably out for the season we clearly need a striker. Yes we have Son who can fill in there but then we lose him from his best position and effectively weaken the team in two positions instead of one. Same with Moura. A champions league club should not be in a position where they have to weaken two positions in the team like that when they lose a single player.

I think the problem is that we have no money to buy a striker so we will be looking for a loan deal, just as virtually every club in Europe will be looking for. We are therefore unlikely to get anyone other than a truly unwanted player.

It seems that Piatek is available this window for a fee that isn't too ridiculous. I think he was a player we had interest in before he went to Milan and it would seem that we still retain an interest in him. It would seem that we have a real opportunity here to bring in a player who could be a proper back-up to Kane, allowing us to give Kane the rest that any player needs and perhaps even good enough to replace him longer term if and when Kane departs.

Let's see if we actually go and land a real target or whether we instead bring in a has been who never even was. I think the option we take will be telling of both the state of the finances at the club and the ambition that the chairman has to compete for trophies.
