Champions League 2019/20 - Round of 16: RB Leipzig

No fans from Red Star Belgrade for the game at NWHL next month

NYON, Switzerland (AP) -- UEFA has punished Red Star Belgrade for the latest ''racist behavior'' by its fans, and banned the club from selling tickets to its fans for a Champions League game at Tottenham.

UEFA says its disciplinary panel found the charge proven against the Serbian champion at a qualifying rounds game against HJK Helsinki in Finland in July.

Red Star cannot sell tickets for its next Group B away game, in London on Oct. 22, and was fined 50,000 euros ($54,600).

The UEFA punishment follows similar fan incidents last season. Charges of racist behavior, illicit chants and crowd disorder led to Red Star playing a home playoff game in an empty stadium and being barred from selling tickets to two group-stage games away from home.

Red Star was ordered to pay UEFA fines totaling 191,000 euros ($208,000) last season, and 122,000 euros ($133,000) so far this season.

The fines are working well then.

There’s only one answer for repeated offences like this and that’s a ban from European competition.
Can’t see UEFA having the guts to do hat though.

60,000 Yids in the stadium?

Another example of the Mou-effect in the world: weeks ago the broadcaster that owns the CL rights in Hungary selected Bayern over Spurs for next Tuesday. With Poch in charge they didn't even consider to choose Tottenham and regarding our form and style in the PL in the recent weeks I can fully understand them. However, with Mou on the board we have the chance to see his debute on the telly. They were not brave enough to do it themselves, but there is a poll on their website.

So please, help the small Spurs community over here with a vote:
Hungarian site but pretty obvious where to click.

Thank you four kindness, gentlemen!

Voted!

27 v 73% at the mo, we need someone to get this going viralon teletext, to reach enough Spurs fans to bring about the greatest turnaround since Ajax!

Jose's gonna engineer us into 3rd so we can slip into the EL and roll everyone over to gain a CL place for next season...easier to achieve than thru the PL and CL. :)

The current status before this weeks matches:

Group A: Paris St-Germain (winners), Real Madrid (runners-up)

Group B: Bayern Munich (winners), Tottenham (runners-up)

Group C: Emirates Marketing Project (winners)

Group D: Juventus (winners)

Group E: None [Liverpools group]

Group F: Barcelona (winners)

Group G: RB Leipzig [Zenit and Lyon currently joint second]

Group H: None [Chelseas group]

----

POSSIBLE DRAW

So, if Liverpool & Chelsea top their groups then we will play one of:

> PSG
> Juventus
> Barcelona
> RB Leipzig, Zenit or Lyon [Although v unlikely to be Lyon]

ouch!

Also a chance of:

> Ajax or Valencia [If Ajax vs Valencia doesn't end in a draw then we can play the winner]
> Napoli [If Liverpool don't win]

Personally would want to avoid Barcelona as think they'd be really up for it after how they went out last year. Lyon are 7th & Valencia 8th in their respective leagues, so probably the easiest draws.

RB Leipzig 2nd in the Bundesliga so would likely be very up for it.

COYS!!
