Who know whether it's a good thing or bad though. They could play a stronger team to try to play themselves in to form......Or could see no point in this game whatsoever and already be looking ahead to their next league game.

Either way, hope our lads do their best and don't write themselves off. All this "too many changes = unable to play any decent football" is an easy excuse and some of our squad should be working their boll@cks off to catch Jose's eye.

Like many, looking forward to seeing T-rooooooooooooooy getting a start.

Do they still have a winter break in Germany?

If so I assume they’ll be nursing players through to that, no surprises and no risks.

I am delighted we are leaving Alli/Kane/Jan at home

Its a dead rubber, it means nothing.

There is no point risking all the players, a nice week off for Kane/Alli for the important game at Wolves.

I think that one of the points Mourinho made in a press conference is that it gives him a chance to work on more general training with these players, rather than preparing for the next game.

And why run the risk of injuries in a meaningless game when we are pretty light on options anyway?
We've left four first choice players at home. So seven of the players that started against Burnley have traveled? Surely either to start or be on the bench? If they're on the bench surely that means there's some chance of them getting some playing time? That means some not entirely insignificant chance of injury.

I can only speculate, but I think we want to put out a team with some cohesion, some established relationships on the pitch. Give the players coming in a chance to perform in a somewhat functional team.

We'll need our squad as the season progresses. Some players need match fitness. Young players need game time. This could be a valuable experience. Players need confidence and positive experiences on the pitch. Getting trashed by a Bayern side playing a completely makeshift team won't give us those positives.

I also think it's a case of pride, for the club, for the staff, for Mourinho.

So perhaps we accept some risk of injury. Not to the players were an injury could be devastating, but some risk. Or perhaps I'm entirely wrong and there will be no starters that have started recently.

Did Mourinho travel, or just Sacramento?

This game is all about pride and the need to take revenge. History books won't ever let us forget the humiliating 2-7 defeat to Bayern in the CL match at home. Want us to try to get revenge for that defeat. But with us already assured of progressing to the next round as group runners-up, there will be temptation to rest regular players. Really don't want us to rest too many regulars. We not only need to save our pride, we also need to continue our winning momentum in the CL. Resting players have never been of any benefit to us over the years. Players tend to get lazy and complacent after being rested. So, want us to play a strong team except those who are injured.

Our attack have been improving under Mourinho. We seem to be more sharp in front of goal compared to before. We need to continue that good form. Wish we can start our regular attacking players like Kane, Son, Moura and Alli. After all, it is not always we get to play Bayern away in the CL. Too bad Kane won't play in this match. He will miss a chance to increase his goal tally in the CL. At least Son, Moura and Alii will be involved. Still not fully convinced of our youngsters like Parrot.

I think this match will be won or lost in midfield. Our midfield have not been really convincing even under Mourinho. We still need a reliable defensive midfielder to control the midfield. Dier, Sissoko, Winks and Ndombele have been too inconsistent. Wonder if Wanyama will be involved in this match. If he does, it will be interesting how Wanyama will do under Mourinho. Remember, Wanyama was performing well in his first season with us until he got injured.

Our defence really need to improve. We did well to keep the clean sheet against Burnley but we didn't look really convincing. With Vertonghen not being involved in this match, Gazzaniga, Alderweireld and Sanchez need to be alert to stop Bayern. Bayern have many players who can score long range goals. So, we need to stop them taking those long range shots.

It is going to be a tense match, even with us nothing to play for. We need to make sure Bayern don't humiliate us the way they did at home. It will really boost our confidence if we can get revenge for that with a win. But a draw will be a good result for us. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to get at least a draw in this match.

Mourinho has been hard at work at his new club and has already changed Tottenham's European away trip routines.

With his predecessor Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs would fly out in the afternoon from Stansted Airport before heading straight to whatever stadium they would be playing at the next day.

Pochettino and a player would take part in the press conference and then they would join the team for a late night training session inside the stadium to accustomise themselves to the pitch and surroundings.

Mourinho flipped it around. Spurs trained in the morning back at Hotspur Way, their Enfield training complex, starting at 10.30am, before flying to Germany later that afternoon.

There was a dual purpose to that. Firstly, so those players playing against Bayern could recover on the flight rather than train after it.

Secondly, those players who were not travelling to Germany, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen and Serge Aurier, could train with the group before beginning preparatory work ahead of Sunday's Premier League match at Wolves.

Tottenham will fly back on Wednesday night after the match, sleep at The Lodge - the five star hotel at Hotspur Way - and bright and early on Thursday morning Mourinho will be able to work with those players who didn't feature against Bayern immediately without the need for recovery work.

Everybody dance now!

Wish we can play a strong team against Bayern. If we do make many changes, hope all the players will have a good game. Let's hope we will put up a good performance and get a erection inducing win over Bayern in this match.
