Solskjær blaming the linesman because his raised flag caused Ashley Young to hesitate and raise his hand instead of concentrating on his job. You don't stop until the ref blows his whistle.

Huh? That's not what he said in the Sky interview. He just said the same as in your last line; play until the ref blows.

The quote used in the Telegraph. Slightly exaggerated in their head line of course:

Ole Gunnar Solskjær points finger at assistant referee after VAR hands Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equaliser.

“Ashley certainly holds his hand up because he looked straight at the linesman, maybe he hesitated a bit and maybe he could have got a block in.

“That’s no consolation for us and it was a perfectly good goal for them.

“He made an impact on the situation by raising his flag. When it is that way, he could wait and take it later but that’s up to the ref.

“A lot of the penalty decisions, if you don’t make it, you can’t really go back and have it. But it's a work in progress and they definitely deserved their goal today.”

Terrible subs by Pep today. No idea why/how gundogen has been left on, he’s been terrible and generally is a level below his team mates when I’ve watched City.

So despite our frankly horrific start to the season, we're actually only five points off second place. (and five points off the relegation zone, but that's a different matter)

Shows that apart from Liverpool, no team really has stood out in the PL this year.

Not that I think we will be able capitalise on this, mind you.
