Champions League 2019/20 - Round of 16: RB Leipzig

Who cares which teams we get in our group? In the past two seasons we have had Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSV, Inter Milan, Dortmund (and Apoel) in our groups and qualified each time. Yes, this season we made a tough job of it but we did it and I feel as if the only reason that it was tough was due to late goals and/or silly mistakes. I have full confidence that whoever we draw in the group next season that we will qualify from that group.
I don’t care who we get, I usually just hope it’s a team we haven’t played in recent times,so would like PSG and or Bayern for that reason at some point. Would be nice to avenge the Juventus defeat too

This, Bring them on whoever.

We handled a tough group in 2012 (?) and in the past two seasons. The one easy group (three seasons ago) was the one we messed up.

I want us to play the big teams, not some sheep farmers from farawayistan. After all, that's the point of being in the Champions league, and not in the Europa league.

Its obviously not possible to play the random teams which we played in the Europa. I'd prefer us to get through to the knock out stages and play the giants then

I don't really have much knowledge of the quality of most of these teams, but I'm guessing we'll probably end up in another group of death.

PSG, Brugge, Slavia Prague for travelling and the away day experience.

Not sure how much we were paying him but GNK (Dinamo) has got his own team now:eek:

There's something very wrong with a seeding process that puts Chelsea, PSG and Zenit in a pot above Real, AM, Dortmund and Spurs.

I think the easiest group for us will be Zenit (RUS), Olympiacos (GRE) and Slavia Praha (CZE) while the toughest group will be Barcelona (ESP), Inter (ITA) and RB Leipzig (GER). But looking at our poor form so far, any team will be tough for us this season.

I've said it before, and it's totally ridiculous that the winner of the 2nd rate competition that is the Europa League, gets the same seeding as the winner of the Champions League!
The EL winner should be placed in Pot 4 or at best, pot 3. Seeing as the 3rd placed teams in CL group stage drops down to the EL, maybe pot 3 would be fair.

I would sooner take an ESP / ITA group combo of Juve & Valencia than Barca & Inter.

I'm guessing Napoli will end up with another English team from pot 1, therefore increasing our chances of drawing Inter.

Looking at how the ESP / ENG / GER / ITA teams are spread throughout all those pots this year, there are going to be a lot of forced groups occuring

Takes a deep breath and steps into the Thread.
Okay, I think I'm over it...this is fine, no memory pangs just yet...

So far, so good...

edit: ARGH, fudge NOOOO!!!
