Big Sissoko fan last season but he’s too involved high up here and doesn’t have the guile. We are so short on attacking numbers but 4231 is so much better for us.

No Alli or Son next week either.

Lamela’s had 2 great crossing chances. One he kicked out, they scored shortly after. Next he took too long - they blocked and broke away and shot.

How hard is it to clip crosses into the box!

Lamela only has one foot to play football with to be fair. Dont worry he will be injured in a few games time for a few months.

Last season he had the excuse of losing Dembele and having to play Sissoko. Now we have NDombele he has no such excuse.

Overall, yes, but as a percentage of attempts I’d be surprised, not that Eriksen can be blamed for the dogbrick finishing we showed last season.

City purposely play with wingers/wide forwards - with the intent of stretching the oppositions back 4, getting to the byline in order to make the defence turnaround 180 degrees, and thus creating gaps for a creative midfield to pick open and create chances.

We however, play a narrow midfield diamond.

I hate this formation so much.

Sissoko off for Eriksen.

It's not that fudging difficult. He got it right before his weird Sissoko fetish, he just needs to do it again.

It’s not just a Sissoko fetish in my opinion it’s he has also developed a fetish for playing Son through the middle, I know he is suspended today but Lucas is playing his role and as a consequence our best players are playing out of position Kane as the #10 now, he should have stuck Sissoko out right, Lucas to the left and kept Lamela in the centre then at ht brought Eriksen on for Sissoko and just swapped Eriksen with Lamela, at ht watch it be Eriksen for N’dembele and Eriksen out right.
