well done Sonny, very happy for Jan and Llorente

Jan has been the quiet, strong and dependable stalwart, how long has he been with us already ? Finally get to see the Super Jan celebration again

great teamwork to keep them out - in a great position for the second leg

That is a really impressive result, 3 goals, clean sheet, decent performances from most of the team.

Some down time again, hopefully have something close to 1st 11 in return leg.

Astonishing. What a night! Best half of the season, surely.

How good is our position before the return leg!

Super Jan MOM, but Winks was also massive, and Eriksen absolutely ran that second half. Sissoko did a tremendous job, Son was ace, Aurier was good - in fact, the only one disappointing was Moura, apart from that this was such a great team performance.

Big BIG kudos to Poch for how he changed this around!
I actually thought Moura played his part, just heavily marked out the game.

I remember we were 3-0 up against Inter in euro league, and managed to fudge up, so no need to celebrate just yet. Full focus for the second leg needed.
Hmmmm........think you've discounted something there.

Errrr..that's it.

This team is MILES better than it was then.

Fully focussed.....natrually.

You've gotta love pundits

Savage at 46 minutes: Spurs need to keep Vertonghen back, he is too high up, Sancho is having a field day... oh... OH! Ah well.

At full time
Rio: credit to Poch, the big difference was the full backs played closer to the centre backs
Harry: yeah, the big difference was pushing the full backs all the way up the pitch
When actually it was stopping space and supply in midfield and Winks and Eriksen dropping deeper.
We were almost like a Roman legion in attack and defence second half, moving our formation to stop their option and pressing ground with positioning. Ultimate control and patience
