The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

That was an excellent goal in fairness, 3-1 Arsenal, game over.

But again, it's another game where the opposition didn't put them away/didn't get the breaks to go a couple of goals up. Leicester deserve this though, macaronic team.
 
Unfortunately this is the difference between us and the other challengers, we are currently scraping by, which is still good, while the others seem to be blowing the minor teams away....mostly
 
Arsenal look good and have a talented squad. Tearing Leicester a new one. Emery has given them the clinical edge that was lacking under Wenger. Mind you Leicester must be crap to enable Ozil to have a good game.

For all Arsenal’s faults they have got a class midfielder and two competent strikers.
Thier defence is a shambles!

I look at that differently - Arsenal are winning 10 games in a row, but they aren't 10 games in a row good. They aren't that good. Emery is a good manager, and they have good players, but I don't think he has uncovered some drastically secret sauce that's going to make them unbeatable. They will regress to mean soon enough and we will pick up form soon enough. Every season this is said about us, we get talked down in the first couple of months because we aren't playing hell for leather football, but from mid-November onwards we usually start dishing out the hammerings under Poch and will likely do so again this season.

Just really disappointed in Leicester tonight...no composure when it was needed despite the fact that they have good footballers.
 
Defensively they haven’t got enough to do anything. Attack is fine but the better teams will cause them too many problems. Will compete with us for top 4 but that’s about it.

Agree on arsenal, this is how they started the last ten seasons under wenger, they’ll drop like a stone after Christmas.

Leicester are brick, the sooner they drop back out of the PL and go out of business the better.
