A few thousand maybe but 30k more than vs the League Champions? Was restricted sale remember.
You only had to be on the club's database I think. There will have been many who enjoyed to opportunity to experience Wembley and PL football last season who aren't coming back, especially not on a Monday or against rubbish opposition like Cardiff .

- DL explained the number of people inside the stadium needs to be under 51,000 but there are no restrictions as to where those people sit

Repeat, 80k vs Liverpool and 82k for an evening game vs Barca just 3 weeks ago says otherwise. Pretty sure the gate would have been similar for the City game had it been on a Sat afternoon with all of Wembley available.
Has to be some other explanation Imo.

Yes, but the City game is not restricted. Cardiff game was with restricted capacity.

If so, problem solved! Because if the whole of Wembley is available then it's hardly surprising that the City game is not yet sold-out. Can only assume that 'George Oddysseus,' 'THST' and others commenting in that twitter announcement posted by Denmarkspur earlier were taking 'restricted sale' to mean 'restricted capacity.'
