Good move. Sterling could be awesome. But he's not. A manager needs to make him feel like he has to fight. Too careful, entitled, and not hungry enough.

He doesn't have a football brain and lacks courage. Look at Trippier, not gifted but you can see he has a certain intelligence and confidence and looks at home on this stage. Sterling will never be a player at this level.

He has 4 years on Sterling. I think he's too careful. Too concerned almost. When he needs to get in the thick of it and fight a bit. He'd be twice the player with a bit of aggression. Poch would bring that out of him.
 
Average performance so far IMO.

He played a lovely (simple ball) around the corner to setup a nice chance. The way he was patient, and then played the ball perfectly was what some of the other players have lacked - imo. He also got a goal!
 
England are really suffering from the lack of a proper midfielder/playmaker. Bang average at best in that department.

I was just thinking that, best option we have is Dier.

Lingard should have stayed on his feet rather than taking the FK there.
