Marcus Edwards

Doesn't sound promising. Imagine if he had been as determined and hard working as Kane - that would've been something. Not that I have any idea just how hard Edwards works, of course.

I wonder how often it happens that a player goes out on loan and doesnt play a single minute or even make a match day squad. It must've happened but it seems crazy

You guys need to chill out.

The manager has pretty much just said that he's not good at tracking back. This could mean he's weak in the tackle, lazy, positionally unaware or not fit enough to keep a defensive press on.

I have no doubt that the lad is aware that he will have to defend in his professional career, heck I've seen him put tackles in in the youth leagues. He's not ready to go into a side that are struggling defensively and are scrapping for points. People like the journo reporting on him are just adding to the pressure on the lad and the reputation that he's too lazy to play football.

No - the article clearly quotes the Norwich manager saying it’s Edwards’ attitude without the ball that’s the issue.

I almost feel for him if he does get picked to play. The expectation on him will be unreal.
It's difficult to come in under the radar nowadays with so much more coverage and the ability to share clips quickly. From what I've seen he looks like he has a special talent for beating men and scoring spectacular goals so unfortunately he will have to get used to and use the expectation to drive him on. I really hope he does take his chance as it will be difficult for us to sign someone with with his qualities. We don't sign superstars any more, we make them...
