FA Cup remains our best chance to win a trophy this season. Despite this, it is disappointing that Pochettino does not seem to rate it highly. No wonder we have never been convincing in any domestic Cup matches under Pochettino. We almost got humiliated by Newport and needed the replay to beat them in Round 4. We need to play much better if we want to go all the way to win the FA Cup this season. Let's hope all the players will realize this and step up their game against Rochdale in this match.
There is no reason to rest any players for this match as we don't have any league match until next week. Will prefer if we play our best players in this match except for those injured. After coming so close to being humiliated by Newport, we need to show due respect to all our opponents. So, Kane should start this match unless he is not fully fit. Llorente still has not been convincing in any matches. If Kane does not start, then we have to rely on others like Son, Alli, Eriksen or Lamela for the goals. Lamela did score when we beat Newport in the replay. He is one player who doesn't have problem lifting his game against any teams.
We seem to have many options in midfield now with all the players returning from injury. Wanyama and Dembele are our ideal partnership. But won't mind if we play the likes of Sissoko and Winks in midfield in this match. Sissoko has not been playing well in recent matches. We need to continue to hope he will lift his game against teams like Rochdale. Winks has not played much after returning from injury as well. I am still not fully convinced of Winks but hope he will do well in this match. I think our new player Moura should start in this match to show us what he can do as well.
Our defence have not been keeping many clean sheets this season. With due respect to Rochdale, it will be annoying if we don't keep the clean sheet in this match. Foyth has not been fully convincing but hope he will have a error-free match, if he starts. Alderweireld started against Newport in he replay. Won't mind if he starts in this match as well to get back his match fitness after his injury.
