And Van de Ven, who will not turn 23 until April, Dragusin, and Vicario - who could all be with us for another ten years if all goes well. THFC in 2030: Vicario; RB, Van de Ven, Dragusin, Udogie; Sarr, Devine, Donley; Nusa, Veliz, Deki. Would be fun to see that team in one of the earlier FA Cup...

    Ben Davies

My MOTM. I thought the way he picked up that yellow yesterday - professional, snuffing out a Forest chance with the faintest of touches - should be an example to Bissouma and Romero. Very effective, at an absolutely vital moment / part of the pitch, and no chance for the ref to give him a red.

    ***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Wolves OMT***

The best solution I think - but this is based solely on the second half against Chelsea with 9 men when I thought he was very good - is to use Hojbjerg's pace and passing skills at CB. We need our good players on the pitch, but we don't need Hojbjerg in midfield where we still have sufficient...

Ah, Porro is available. That's a real bonus.

    ***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Wolves OMT***

Pff, did not want to think about that. Forster, Gil, Bentancur, Skipp, Veliz, Phillips, plus Davies if Porro is fit. Gil and Bentancur might have a role to play though. Just watched snippets of the Rio meets Ange video. You just know that Ange is looking forward to setting the place on fire. A...

    ***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Wolves OMT***

Ok, so no Maddison, no Romero, no Van de Ven, no Udogie and no Richarlison to go with the ones we've been missing for a while. And question marks over Porro. Struggling to think what the team might look like. I would probably go for: Vicario; Royal, Dier, Hojbjerg, Davies; Bissouma, Sarr, Lo...

    ***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Fulham OMT***

Exactly how I feel. Maddison is the only player in the squad who can break through the lines in possession in the way that Bissouma can. I think it's important that Bissouma will not get his fifth yellow until Bentancur is back - hope he can muster that kind of restraint.

    Cristian Romero

Let's hope that the good atmosphere at the Club under Ange means that injuries heal a little faster - psychology and all that. We have seen at Brentford, when he took off Romero, that Ange is not reckless when it comes to fielding players carrying knocks, so we'll know soon enough.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield Utd ***

Agree with everything - excellent post - but for the bolded sentence. I think this is what makes Ange different than other managers, Martin Jol-like to so speak, and looking at our fixtures, the Sheff Utd game might just be the opportunity to help him. Again, if that's what Richy wants.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield Utd ***

Perhaps I should have added "... if he wants to play". Feel he needs a boost right now, a home game against Sheffield United may be just right for him.

    *** Tottenham Hotspur FC v Burnley ***

Very little action here - important game though. It's these games we need to win in our one-game-a-week season to have an outside chance of CL qualification.

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

Excellent post, agree with everything but for the final paragraph. With the PL transfer craze as it is, and the rules for CL qualification about to change, planning of the kind you suggest is a great idea - one I totally support btw - but I wonder if it's still possible. I think we should hope...

    Sales

Talk in the Netherlands is that PSV are really pushing to sign Sanchez this evening. Makes perfect sense - they have just reached the CL group stage for the first time in five years, have just sold Sangaré to Forest for a considerable sum, and need a quick and physically strong CB.
