Mourinho - What Next?

Any clubs out there that fits HIS profile?

Who cares? The guy's an egocentric fudgestick, who bases his reputation on managing teams with unlimited budgets. He's really not that good.

The guy has an outstanding record even at his last 2 clubs before it went Pete tong he won a title at each. If you are looking for a manager who can bring you massive success albeit short term then he is the man. I don't think he will have any problems securing another job. I loved his "specialist in failure' jibe at Wenger by the way. In fact all his spats with Wenger were hilarious. I would be interested to see how Diego Simeone would do if Chelsea can get him. Not watched much of athletico

He is running out of big clubs in top leagues who would touch him. I cannot see him working in Spain or England again which leaves PSG or Italy, unless one of the German clubs would consider him.

his reputation came from exactly the opposite, his miraculous CL win with Porto

winning the CL with Inter was also done with a smaller budget than Europe's other leading teams

its obviously gone horribly wrong at chelsea but you cannot question his CV, there are plenty of managers who have been in similarly rich situations and won comparatively little

I think it unlikely myself, but I hear there have been rumours in the Portuguese press for weeks that he's on his way back to a domestic club there.

He's won everything there is to win, no one can question his CV - the guy is a born winner, pure and simple.

However he does so at huge expense, he runs teams in to the ground and builds them around experienced players with no re sale value, at the expense of developing youngsters - which contributes to the 3 year thing, that and his massive ego and unattractive brand of football means people have usually had enough by then.

It's crazy to think he's only 52 still so he's still a young boss really. Could probably go on to manage up until 2035 if he really wants to.

You mean third act right? I do so as well but I can't see him going back to Chel53a a third time. Maybe he'll look to reprove himself at United next season.

not at chelsea, for his career, I can see him reinventing himself and winning another CL, whatever else he is, he is still a pragmatist

for my money, he is still the smartest brain in football

There's always the Portuguese national team if things go bad in the summer (ie. Ronaldo fails to turn up).

Or England. The FA has previous when it comes to throwing money at it, thinking that's going to compensate for the lack of talent.

he'd be great a great fit for England, he'd play to our strengths (which I suppose are technically weaknesses)

Unfortunately I think this is going to be hard to come back from, its a load of firsts for him and shows a weakness that for someone like him will be hard to recover.

Man United wont touch him because they want long term, Bayern won't either so I see a PSG more than anyone.

Players don't fear him anymore, he is in someways a victim of the modern game

I hope so the premier league is a duller place without him. Can't have Wenger or the dippers winning another title which seems more likely without Mourinho or Ferguson.

We should bear in mind that Mourinho's father has been very ill which may partly account for his loss of focus. Wouldn't write the guy off just yet. But would not want him at Spurs because I love the work Poch is doing.
