You can only sign players as they become available. If you only signed players in order of priority you could well end up missing out on some useful additions.

I reckon that, much like Bale, and Modeic before him, Hugo has agreed to stay for another year. If we get to CL for the following season - if not he'll be off.

Perfect signing. I know he's coming in as 2nd choice but he's going to have plenty of opportunity to get a lot of game time with us which will keep him happy and if anything happened to Lloris injury wise then we have a like for like replacement for him without having to change tactically for dependable but much slower than he used to be Brad.

I read somewhere online that Siggy and Davies effectively cancel each other out (even if the transfers are listed as separate deals), with Vorm coming to us for £5m. But I don't have a source for that (and I doubt the place I read it has one either!
