Tevez, Berbatov, Torres and Carroll

Four players who just over a year ago were banging in goals for fun scoring 63 Premiership goals combined last season and are now hardly playing, those that are playing aren't doing very well.

Ignoring whether you think they'd sign for us, how much would you pay for each of these players, would you want them at the club, do you think they would fit in our team and would Harry get the best out of them?

Tevez - ?ú35 million
Berbatov - ?ú5 million
Torres - ?ú10 million
Carroll - ?ú26.74 (Twenty Six Pounds, 74 pence ONLY)
 
Tevez = too much baggage
Berbatov = would slot in to our team well. would have him in the squad next season, if it was down to ability only. wouldn't pay more than 10 mil
Torres = wouldn't take him
Carroll = wouldn't take him

The first 2 aren't playing (enough) and will score goals wherever they play

Torres will get his mojo back and hit the heights again

Carroll should be delivering the post

I'd like Berbs and Torres, neither of which will happen, for differing reasons

I think they would be good for each other too

I could be in the minority here, but I feel wretched watching Torres. He was an absolute animal in the first couple of years for Luckerpool and it is great having those kinds of players playing over here. However, it is shocking to see him become what he has over the last 2.5 years. A shadow. A ghost. A pale imitation of a once great self. Oh well, poor old Chelsea....

I think we need to look beyond Berbatov as now just a little too old for me. Tevez could be sensational, if Harry was hanging around, but I have a feeling he'd be a nightmare in the wrong hands.

Carroll? I don't want that donkey nowhere near this club.

forgetting Torres' ability (or lack of atm) i have had a genuine dislike for him since he has been in the Prem - winging whiny little bitch (on the pitch) dirty, dives - i hate him
 
You guys arent interested in Carroll at all? With our wingers I think Harry might be able to get a lot out of him.

Of course Liverpool would want to recoup at least ?ú25m+ which is far more than he is worth so a deal is out of the question, I think Harry would get him scoring loads though
 
I would take Torres in a heartbeat. BUT Chelscum WOULD NOT sell to us unless Modric was involved.

I would take Tevez as part of a 433 formation, but only if VDV were to be sold

Carrol could fudge off that donkey.

I would take Berbatov
 
The way Torres is changing his game he would be great for us.

Carroll, I'd seriously consider not watching our matches.
 
Tevez, Berba and Torres(after Harry's arm around the shoulder) would all be good for our team, I wouldn't want Berba back though and Tevez brings too much baggage. Carroll will improve but after two years of watching the ball go over our supremely talented midfield's head to Crouch, I wouldn't want Carroll(or a striker of his ilk) anywhere near the side.
 
Torres is the only one I'd take but Chelsea would still want at least 20 million for him even though his current form is nowhere near that. Carroll would slow our game down like Crouch did. Tevez is a clown shoe. And the Berbatov coming back dream still dominates GG. I don't think Torres will regain his old form. He's not been good for over 2 years now. As much as I hate Chelsea, I feel sorry for Torres. He seems like a decent guy on and off the pitch from what I've seen.
 
I loved Berbatov, he was my hero and scored in a cup final for us but how he left and his general attitude = No

Tevez is a prick = no

Carroll = actually yes as a option off the bench with our wingers but for an appropriate price (7 or 8 million, Lolerpool won't go that low for some time, good ol Comolli)

Torres with Harry staying = unequivocal yes, he would become a goal machine again but they won't sell unless Modric or Bale goes the other way...

Torres - Would definitely take him, but only if we could accomodate him accordingly. Wouldn't pay more than ?ú20 million for him. Class is permanent a they say.

Torres had a fantastic chance to put Chelsea 4-2 today but ****ed it up. His all round play doesn't seem bad but his confidence in front of goal has disappeared entirely. He's had 2 poor years for club and country.
20mil is a lot but probably worth a punt.
 
Berbs is the only one I'd take. Tevez would crack the sooks and leave 6 months later. Torres has lost it after his injury. Carroll never had it.

$15m for Dimitar.
