Its absolutely no surprise we improved when Alli went off. He's just not very good anymore. There was no other way to get Ndombele onto the pitch other than hook Alli.

Hmm...got what we deserved really.
You say that, but I wonder just how much more we could have expected given the short notice and preparation time after the announcement of Son's injury.

To be fair, it's not the worst result under those circumstances. And it looks like we'll have some valuable experience - to say nothing of a high-level workout - to take forward to a crucial match on the weekend.

@milo
Sanchez
Hugo
Lo celso
In that order.

Maybe switch the order Le Celco, Sanchez, Hugo but otherwise agree. Le Celco was on it, and it was frustrating we didn't take the game to them earlier. They were intimidated, and couldn't live with us. We showed them too much respect first half. Toe to toe I think we would come out as the more skillful team. Yet we are lucky its only 1 goal against.

That’s a joke right? Your judging him without a full season, with key injuries and off form players and wonder why he has gone defensive and to try to snatch one on the counter? Makes me wonder about spurs fans some times
No I’m judging him on his spell at United and what I’m seeing here . No different. What was all the crap about a different Jose ?? Tactics are the same. Regardless of players missing.

We are pitiful. Don’t even look solid at the back when we sit in.

Sorry that it does not agree with how you see it but the day he goes I’ll be a happy man.

Looks to me like Jose has made the tactical changes
Their just playing the same way they always do
And their missing no attacking players

Missing Kane/Son

Lamela/Dombele/Lo Celso all coming back from injuries

SB/gedson still fitting in

Brain dead Moura and Serge

Apart from replacing Serge with Tang really hasn’t got much options there.

Intimidated? Couldn't live with us? They played us off the park for 70 minutes.

Maybe Spurs aren't the club for you.

To be honest, they were like Liverpool and City. They came flying out the traps early on, pressed like men possessed and played at a really high tempo. Like those two I just mentioned they also tired by the middle of the second half. Those second balls they were first to were suddenly our's, the little toe pokes from their CB's were less frequent.

We were still reliant on trying to squeeze Bergwijn and Moura down the sides of their CB's, which is depressing. Dele went missing in the second half and was rightly subbed off. He wasn't doing enough after the break to deserve to be on the pitch and both N'Dombele and Lamela were real positives.

I had Halstenberg & Lo Celso card double...£10 @ 14/1. How the fudge halstenberg wasn’t carded....

the one that annoyed me most was Werner on Aurier about 20 mins in, not only did he flatten him from the blindside, we’d have been away 3 on 2 had Aurier made the pass

Werner would have been off before half time
