Im no fan of Mourinho but the team/squad needs a rebuild so there's little point getting hung up on performances until we bring in several new players

Reina stopped at least two goals that would go in most times. Grealish had a decent game but didn't do the same at the other end.

Agreed on the rebuild and yes you’re not wrong about getting hung up on performance.
I try not to be we’ve just fallen off a cliff over last 18 months so sad to see.
My worry is we need a fair sized rebuild and it’s not been our strong suit signing quality players in the windows over past few years.
Time will tell. But one thing will remain I’m not buying this renewed Jose. Looks like same old dross that the United fans witnessed.

essentially a whole new back-line and DM, some competition for Kane and another young WF in the mould of Bergwijn

A whole new back line? Is that for the squad? I think Tanganga and Sanchez should remain. Aurier could if we were playing a back 5, but he’s too attack minded for a back 4. And Davies can stay with the squad.
I’d agree with a new DM, but I like the idea of a midfield of Lo Celso, Ndombele and Dele, and think that would work well. Although I can accept that it has defensive limitations.
I think we need a new goalkeeper to backup Lloris. As I don’t rate Gazaniga. And I agree about needing a new striker to cover for/rotate with Kane.

Maybe so but that ship has sailed, as with CL football all but sealed next season there’s no way Leicester will sell their star asset for anything less than silly money.
Probably best off looking for the next affordable hot prospect, like Cantwell perhaps.

Noticed this before. Admittedly they are both greedy so and sos, but I fear it may go deeper. I noticed Lucas is not even really celebrating Son's goals recently.
i think it's just a realistic appraisal of what is needed to get back to where we were when we were at our peak under Poch, the season we left WHL, and considering the lack of proper investment in the team in the period between then and last summer. a CB and CM will likely have us in a better position to fight it out for 4th next season but will leave us someway short of challenging for the league.

Yeah the ship has sailed on Maddison and Villa would surely be looking for £60m for Grealish these days.
Reckon Ndombele was purchased instead of looking at those two.
Cantwell looks good, but I personally think we need more of a DM in any case.
Looks evident at the moment that they are playing for themselves over the team all our forwards guilty of it. It’s about the collective but past few games they’ve clearly refused to put each other in with a simple pass
