Definite Pen. The issue against Gunn is the point of contact is nowhere near where the ball is.

Sometimes a keeper genuinely goes for the ball and mis-times it and brings the player down. But in this situation the only conclusion you can draw is Gunn's contact can only be to impede Son in some way as he is in no way looking to play the ball and that counts massively against him.

Why our are own fans like this? think he was giving Son a handjob?

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Looks like a pen now.

Always like those sort of pictures. The main thing in them which resonates with me watching it was the fact that Son and Moura were isolated in the first half, but the change of formation around the 70th min meant we played as a team from thereon, whereas in the front half we played as a back 8 with a 30 yard gap in front of them to a front 2

Not in CM. Playing CM there's no way he plays that pass. He'd look around, turn and get tackled. Being 10 yards up the pitch changes his game completely.

Honestly, I am getting tired of explaining this. Yes, we all know he is at his creative best when playing higher up the pitch.

It remains my belief that even if the manager chooses others there, we are a better side with Dele in it, even deeper.

Lo Celso establishing himself deeper, still signing Gedson, with Ndombele hopefully getting going at some point. We're getting there with deeper midfield options, hopefully the necessity of Alli deep will soon be in our past.

I agree with you that he's useful there too, just nowhere near the impact he has higher up the pitch.

It is good to progress to FA Cup Round 5. This was another unconvincing performance but at least we managed to come from behind to win. We rode our luck as Southampton dominated the match and created more goal scoring chances than us. We played poorly for most of the match but fortunately we did well to make the most of our goal scoring chances. Credit to Ndombele, Moura and Son for the goals. Hopefully we will play much better against Norwich at home in Round 5.

Well, it is really hard to get motivated about this team. To make it worse, we were without Lo Celso, Lamela and Bergwijn, players who can lift the team. The rest are playing without passion or spirit now ! Whenever we had a poor team in the past, we always had brilliant individual players to lift our morale. But now we are playing poorly as a team and individuals. Unless we win a trophy, history books will call this season as one of the worst in our history !
