My GHod did we need that bit of good fortune. Will/should do this squad a world of good in terms of belief and confidence.

Oh, and get fudged, VAR.

Wow, what a crazy result. We were being massively outplayed, in part due to their fouling...

Every one of our players did 10 brilliant things and 2 really stupid things!

I'd say GLC and/or Winks was MoM @milo

That's the third time Pep has lost to "the Harry Kane Team" without Harry Kane playing in any of them. Awkward.

Blagged that really. Great result but I'm getting a bit sick of the football we are playing.

It will improve once Kane is back. You can’t expect to watch good football against City without a forward to keep the ball up top.

We executed the same plan as at Liverpool. This time we took our chances. That’s what Mourinho is all about.

If it was for the red card we would have lost this game. The tactic was brick like it was against Liverool,l. We have players now who can play quick one touch football but we do not use that and try long balls and sitting deep.

Given the presence of a debutant and Tanganga, I was approving of the sit-back-and-soak-it-up, push-for-the-win-late-on tactics like we used against Liverpool. Important not to be down early. Same thing applied here. We were smart about positioning and the quick breaks were what brought the red card for Zinchenko.

Hard to find fault with pragmatic strategy at this point of the season as we chase fourth place. When we're in a better place in the standings, we can set out to earn style points and please you East German judges.

We need to see the midfield of Lo Celso, Ndombele and an.other. whether that is Winks, Dele or Gedson I do t mind, but we need to get the two most creative and accurate passers in the club on the same pitch at the same time.

I know City were deflated both by the sending off and the goals conceded but with them both on the pitch we started being able to pop it about and keep possession in offensive spaces well.

C'mon Jose be brave the next match please.

If City could finish we would have been spanked.
