And for all the gloom mongers - and you know who you are - it could have been worse.

How about Slaven Bilic coming back to steal a win over his former club as 10-man West Brom win 1-0 over Dildo Town?

that’s a good result for West Ham, West Brom are a far better team and I would have expected them to win by 3/4

@milo Lo Celso and Tanganga.
Winks and Aurier (goal aside) were good.

Some improvement, but also some worrying signs too. Son, as others have mentioned, really poor again. His decision making and selfishness is costing us too many chances. The forwards in general weren't great again and should really have taken another chance or two on the counter.
Sanchez was dodgy on a number of occasions but got away with it, wont be always the case.

Tanganga looked really good again and would like to see him get time at CB instead of Sanchez. Lo Celso has to be first name on the team sheet now.
Aurier is improving every game. Didn't look in trouble until the last 10 mins or so. So some positives.

Decent, far from great. That goes for the performance and result.

Lost control for relatively short spells, but some good periods too. Silly by Aurier for their equalizer, far from the only time he tried a high risk dribble, but otherwise quite good.

Lo Celso looking ever more important by the game. Gedson wasn't great, but didn't look out of place, perhaps settling quickly.

Some of our players looked absolutely exhausted out there, been playing a lot of games with little rest or rotation. Luckily a week until the next game now, will hopefully do them some good.

Just back in. Went out to calm down. You could see that equaliser coming a mile again as we continued to cough up possession and give me all the incentive to snatch a result.
Luckily they missed some good chances, and tbh I amazed we ended up with a draw.

We won a few more 50/50s than we did 1st half, but still lost out far too many times.

Dont mind the replay, rather be still in it than out

He can't change anything until we rebuild the team

I am an unapologetic Poch man and think we made the wrong move. That being said, Mourinho has my total support and is currently doing some good things with minimal tools.
Levy needs to step the fudge up and buy him
who he wants yesterday. If Mourinho wants this Jose bloke, fudging BUY him and stop claming about over an extra 10 mill. The fact is, all his claming about in the past means we are an easy mark as we are now so desperate that the price has gone up!

We do it the first week in the window and we prob get him cheaper.

Delay the bloody Kane news if needed.

Clowns in the market.

Yeah, it's just as easy as "Mourinho wants him so buy him"

Thankfully you're not in charge of our finances if you think 10 million is not worth negotiating about. Have you been in a coma for the last 20 years if you think Levy is an easy mark?

What is not spending over the top this window means we can sign players Mourinho actually wants come the summer?

We've come this far by not paying over the top for players, I think it's been one of the reasons for our long term success rather than a hindrance overall. Let's not give in to panic just yet.

Haha.
Have I been in a coma, eh? OK, you've come in studs up so take one back.

1) You're right, 10 million is worth negotiating about if it doesn't end up costing you 30,40 or 50 in the long run. Do you understand how not having another striker at our club has most likely cost us the better part of 9 points at least this season? even keeping Llorente when we couldn't push there Dybala deal over the line would've left us with an option. So yes, negotiate for the 10 million if you like, but don't fudging pretend you're doing so solely for "the club budget". We have money.

2) I am not sure if you're a lurker or not. If you are, then you're deliberately being rude. If you're not, then you'll have followed the argument that having slow-fudged the best manager we've had for 40 years, Levy absolutely has to back the current one properly and swiftly. If you think Mourinho hasn't been asking him for a forward since his arrival, I'd suggest you're very naive.

A great plan in theory, but how many times are we going to say "he'll back him next window"? The last manager wanted his targets in early; he got two of them on deadline day.

If we are saving money for the summer, then why not get a 6 month loan option in? Why not get Nando back in? Or even push for Giroud for 6 months? There will be short-term options out there who are enough to give us an option. And if Willian Jose really IS who Mourinho wants long-term (whatever that means for a 3 years stint?) then let's get him now.

I don't think this is about panic at all; it's about necessity. Is there another side in our position without another senior striker?

Haha.

Keeping Pochettino past the summer is the only single decision that could plausibly have cost us 9 points so far this season.

In fairness, Poch should've left in the summer. My blinders were on. We'd fudged him enough times already and the game was up. I still believe that IF we're not going to make top 4 in a season, I'd rather do so with a Posh-Plan in place but hey, that might just be me. That being said, not getting Dybala done, not keeping Llorente, not signing a right-back and not getting another striker if we were not going to get Dybala or keep Llorente are all plausible causes for losing several points this season.

The club have made so many disastrous decisions in the transfer market over the last three years I don't see how you can exonerate Poch from this completely. We now have a tired, broken and totally unbalanced squad. This didn't happen overnight. In the last four years, Poch failed to improve virtually any of our signings made under him. After his initial success, the last four years of transfer dealings have been a complete fiasco and the players we bought for big money never reached anything like an acceptable level.
