Eric Dier

Dier is an interesting one. Against Burnley he was absolutely key because of his ability to compete with Wood, but I'm not convinced that against a team that play like Man UTD he'd have been anymore effective than those that played. I'd still rather see a starting lineup with him in it than without, I just think that his position will be used situationally and he may be used less once we have a valid alternative.
Even Kante would have struggled vs united covering the space down our right

Another frankly abysmal game! Spazzed (to use @scaramanga term) simple 5 yard passes, completely anonymous especially in the second half.

How long does the team continue to carry him in the hope that he may regain match fitness?

Had as poor a game as the rest out there. Nothing changed when we subbed him, suggesting the problem is deeper than a single player change.

Playing against one of the top sides in european football away with two blokes who couldn't give a fudge can be tough, but let's not facts get in the way when you can hang your hat on stats that don't take anything like that into account. Much easier to blame this years villain.

The pair of them were bloody awful. Slow and plodding with no intent on doing anything. Some can criticise Eriksen but he was significantly better than the pair in central midfield (even then he pretty brick as well).

Well TBF since he has come back in we have won every game until last night. Id argue that isn't because the team are carrying him. The one game he didn't start we lost. Last night he was very very poor, but then it was a makeshift team and everyone was poor apart form a few players. And their midfield tore us apart at home when he didn't play.

It's much more about Sissoko, whomever you pair him with in midfield the midfield will look slow, laden and a bit crap. Dier has some obvious weaknesses, you can hide them if you play him with a complimentary player, that player is not Sissoko.

If we keep playing this pair in midfield against any sort of decent opposition we will have performances like yesterday.

Don't see what the fuss is about with Dier, he was as he always is - slow and sloppy in possession. He must constantly be one of the oppositions' biggest chance creators, he literally cant help himself. If he is meant to be our main DM option, I sincerely hope we can get in an upgrade in this area. I would be very concerned if we cant, or choose not to....

I think it will be intriguing Sunday as Wolves has a decent midfield
I think Dier with someone who can pass is key. Or Sissoko too if he isn't covering for a roaming RB
Both together is so unbalanced

Let’s get this right, we play a weakened team in a dead rubber away at Bayern and you single Sissoko.
You are potty!

That'll be your short memory.
