Christian Eriksen

He was getting quite a bit of stick from people around me. I assume that was replicated in pockets around the ground. But I thought he played OK, particularly second half when, as a team, we looked much better. Yes he ducked a few challenges but then even at his best he would probably have done the same. Even if he can get somewhere back to the player he used to be, if his heart is set on leaving then we can’t rely on him as a starter or being a key player. But if we can get enough out of him as a tactical sub now and again then I can live with that.

So if Eriksen signs a new deal next week, what would people's opinions be? If it means Mourinho is confident he can get Eriksen back to his excellent former self, I'm all positive, despite his poor showing for the best part of a year now.

He’d have to perform, back at the level he’s obviously capable of. I’ll ignore/forgive/forget pretty much anything if we are getting the results and performances on the pitch.

I question his commitment to the cause. If his commitment is there and he works on his corners and setpieces, then yes.

Still want shot of him.

That being said, I wouldnt have had him in the squad last night. And with Lo Celso and NDombele on the bench, he certainly wouldnt have been my choice for 28th minute game changing sub.

And yet he did very well. Honestly cant complain about him last night, looked more like classic Eriksen than he has done in a very long time.

Inspired move by Jose, and fair play to Eriksen for actually putting a shift in.

Even so - I want him gone.

Eriksen won't be signing a new contract. Don't have to be Nostradamus to know that.

No, you'd have to be ...

I hardly noticed him last night.
Which must be the biggest compliment I can pay him due to his normal 'sore thumb' performances.

I think we need to move on from Eriksen he cant just simply play when he fancies it. Shows poor mentality and not what we need if we are relying on him. There are other players outside of him in the footballing world that would love to make it at Spurs.

He looked more like is old self last night for sure, as you say if Jose can get him playing like we all know he can then its a no brainer for me.
