Goals change games
The timing of them is huge too
I’m still convinced had we had the penalty vs Saudi Sportswashing Machine like we should have we would have won and started with better form
The VAR call at Leicester has basically kick started their season too as it changed that game and the got important goals after it. Auriers goal gets allowed and we win that game IMO and again are in better form and shape

Agree. We've had several marginal things go against us this season and suffered badly.

Son v Leicester (1cm offside) probably 3 points
Son v Liverpool (cross bar) likely 3 points
Son vs Everton (Red card) likely 2 points
Kane v Saudi Sportswashing Machine (No pen) 1-3 points
Kane v Arsenal (No pen) 2 points

These aren't small sings like costing us a point here or there.

I cant remember too many decisions going for us that have resulted in us getting big points. Could argue:

Lemela Pen v City - 1 point.
Dele handball v Everton 1 point.
Richarlison pen (1 point).

Our 3 wins have been pretty fair.

Is that in the rules?

No it isn't and the red card should definitely be rescinded. Just have a feeling that the speed in which this statement was issued suggests that the powers that be will set out to justify the red card this week, particularly as it was given by one of their 'top' refs. No way this was a red card and if the severity of injury is taken into account, this creates a dangerous precedent for the future.

On this basis should Delph have been red carded for his challenge on Kane in the Champions League quarter final and Jones red carded for his challenge on Kane at Wembley?

I thought Atkinson acted with haste. In a situation with such emotion he should have taken 10 seconds to himself to establish protocol and then proceed.

I think everything I've heard from the authorities since then has been an effort to back up his hasty decision. Something I doubt they will now renege on.

Delefau penalty vs Watford was the clearest IMO as That wasn’t subjective

I think the greatest disappointment for me was watching the team just go through the motions.

No focus, drive, verve... nothing. Just plodding through the bare minimum.

Thats the sort of thing that just smacks of a manager about to be let go. And I cant say Poch impressed with his performance either, I couldnt really see him making an impact or changing that state.

Its like being in limbo right now.

It smacks to me of a lack of motivation on that pitch

Poch has to be partly to blame but it’s something we see regularly with teams that are about to make significant changes as you say

Theres an underlying issue there, somewhere, IMO. The team has basically collapsed.

We are at a point where Im not even sure it matter why, all that matters is how we snap out of it and get back to our best.

Usually, that "how" ends up being a new manager. And currently we look like a team in need of that sort of change.

Would be a shame to come to that, but something has to give. If Poch doesnt start getting a proper tune out of them I can only see one outcome.

To have a hope, you would need to pick players based on merit

And if you pick a player and they play brick for 60 minutes, pull them to fudge off

The reality is there is no consequence for poor performance, as a result, poor performance has become the norm.

Another disappointing performance and result. We badly needed a win but failed to lift our game. Annoyingly we scored first but failed to win yet again. In fact, we were fortunate to even get the draw after Son was red carded. We probably would have lost to any other team but fortunately for us Everton still remains our "friendly" club as we have never lost to them since 2012 !

Credit to Alli for our only goal and Son for assisting it but all our attacking players were poor. At least this match answered one question that our attack is poor with or without Kane this season. Thought Son and Moura would lift their game without Kane but they failed to do so. Son was also naive to get red carded as his reaction to the injury to the Everton player made it easy for the ref to red card him. We badly missed the work rate and creativity of Lamela. Not sure why Lo Celso came on in the second half as he didn't make any impact again.

Our midfield had another poor match. Ndombele and Sissoko worked hard but failed to control the midfield. Expected more from Ndombele but he failed to inspire us. This match shows that we badly need a defensive midfielder to control the midfield. Wish we still had Dembele who used to control the midfield brilliantly. Good to see our new signing Sessegnon coming on in injury time but he didn't have much time to make an impact.

Our defence didn't have much to do in this match but we still couldn't keep the clean sheet. Regardless of the red card to Son, it was still a poor goal to concede. Sanchez should have done better to clear the ball. It was really annoying to concede the goal deep in injury time. Not sure if Sanchez will ever overcome these mistakes from his game.

Our poor away form is getting worse. We have now failed to win our last 12 away matches in the league, drawing 3 and losing 9. This is our worst winless away run in the league since we went winless in 14 away matches under George Graham in 2001. Pochettino better do something to get our first away in the next 2 matches or history books won't forgive him.

Does nobody else think that Sanchez is an accident waiting to happen because of his GHod awful control?

I had my heart in my mouth every time the ball went to him.

He nearly gifted them several chances being caught in possession or sloppy with his passing

Yip. He's got some great qualities, but ball control under pressure isn't one of them.

Nope, piggy. You just said that not me. Can’t believe you said that about Son tbh.

I said the team has demonstrated a weak meteorology by the amount of winning leads they have shipped.

What does “piggy” mean Jon?

I thought he was great but there are still a couple of mistakes in him. The penalty shout was a penalty. He was clumsy and made contact with their player.

For the goal, he sort of stuck a foot up waiting for the ball to pass Tosun and reach him. Shouldn't he have attacked the ball with his head?
