Ryan Sessegnon

Do we think he might make the bench this weekend? Shame we have no carling cup to get him some minutes in.

Looked good when he come on last night, the boy is some talent

Lovely cross for one of the goals

Yes, but will be a slow introduction. I dont think he's ready to be a starter for us yet. In attacking positions he has Son, Dele, Lo Celso, Moura and Lamela ahead of him...Eriksen is debatable but will be off soon I hope. This season for him is about getting 30 min cameos, and maybe starting in the FA Cup

Part of me shudders at potential comparisons being made of our players with complete and utter bellends like Ashley Cole but then I remember how good (annoyingly good) a left back he was.

As far as I can recall, Jose doesn't favour a back 3 but with that set up, playing Sess at wing back with the left sided centre back as Vertonghen would look pretty tasty and be a way to get him in the team somewhere where young Ryan would be able to affect the game at both ends of the pitch. He could hardly cause less damage than Rose at this stage anyway (in a footballing sense and a PR one).

I'd imagine many agree, it's nice hearing some reassuring words regarding Sessegnon and the part he will have to play in the club's future though it would be unlikely for Mourinho to come out and say he thinks he is total brick and will get rid asap!

Sess can play across the three behind Kane too. Introducing him there for the last twenty minutes seems like a sensible and less risky way of introducing him into the side.
