Poch or that we are halfway through building a new side? If we had managed to shift the players that Poch wanted out in summer 2018, we'd be a lot further along that road now.
100% tickle my balls with a feather.

”halfway” I feel is slightly optimistic!

despite some abject performances, in the grand scheme, a good place to come away from with a point. They usually raise their game against tougher European opponents and have obviously given a lot of "bigger" clubs headaches down the years.

I’m not sure that’s enough of an excuse, even if he wants to replace some of the players we have now they are superior to what we had a few years back and he got a better tune out of them.

I may be proven wrong but I think Poch has lost something. Maybe it’s respect amongst the squad. Maybe it’s just a case of familiarity breeding contempt. But we’ve been ordinary for 18 months now and I don’t see the same intensity, solidity or fluidity that we had a few seasons back.

I’m not a “Poch Out” merchant and he’s certainly earned the chance to rebuild but I suspect that it may not end well and, what’s more, that thought no longer frightens me.

Three good players came in this summer, if we had managed to do the same the summer before, we'd be looking a lot different. Alderweireld, Rose, Eriksen, Wanyama and Aurier were all deemed surplus to requirements and are still here. Further new signings didn't happen because we couldn't shift those players.

Meh

Hope we don't live to regret the missed points. Red Star isn't going to be an easy proposition either.

I think some of you are in danger of losing the run of yourselves - this isn't the type of place that any team comes to and rolls over the home side

I would have taken a loss but I won't take Eriksen thinking we should worship him for deeming to grace us with his presence.

I agree. There are few easy away games in the CL. It is like the close season makes everyone forget that the CL and PL are tough.
