Jan Vertonghen

And there was a cut away during MOTD of Jan looking away from the pitch. Body language.

Come off it. Not saying there isn't problem but do you really expect everyone to be 100% on the game the entire 90 minutes?? A deliberately selected out of context 2 and half seconds tells you there is a body language issue?!?

Jan not to start? Wouldn't have a huge issue and would accept Poch just rewarding Sanchez. But to then not be included on a bench that consisted of Skipp Dier and Wanyama basically covering 1 position does seem something is amiss.

Maybe I need to lay in every emoji on earth so you can understand my lack of seriousness! Or perhaps you are new to this forum and how ya olde regulars joyfully refer to the body language of our Dutch players. And before you get apoplectic I know that we have no Dutch players, but some Belgians. I’m off for a bath in custard now.

fudge off. You meant it so own it. Drama queen.

Can't but feel we are looking for a crisis here.
Could it not be that Sanchez excelled in training and poch wanted to reward him, rather than Jan doing anything wrong?

I honestly think if it was just that Sanchez was better in training then Jan would have at least been on the bench ahead of either Dier or Aurier, neither of whom have played in any preseason matches

You could be right, Im just trying to be positive.
In forty years following spurs this is the best I can remember.
And yet everyday it's a new crisis, pochs leaving, no transfers, Eriksen leaving, Toby is done, and most of it is blown out of all proportion.
Maybe everything is nt all doom and gloom.

Nothing new in that is there, look at all the drama that followed a couple of his press events. Its what some do.

Agreed. No left back on the bench, only Dier and Wanyama as potential centre backs, both having just returned from injury.

You don't just drop Vertonghen from the matchday squad for no reason unless he's injured. Pochettino was given every opportunity to say that he had a slight injury, but didn't.

Hopefully just something minor. And hopefully a new contract will be sorted soon.

Okay, so did you actually see the cutaway? There is bored, and then there is doing an impression of a girl who's just had a blazing row with her bf.
Alli and Sessegnon had worse body language
Alli was looking down at his iPhone, Sessegnon looked predictably enough like the new boy who feels totally out of place .
