The wait is unbearable. Starting to think he'll use H off the bench.

My guess is...

-----------Lloris------
Trips--TBA---JVT--Rose
--------Winks
Sissoko-----Eriksen
--------Dele--------
---Sonny----Lucas

Still makes me nervous down that left side without anybody really covering Rose. Maybe he'll play a 4-2-3-1 instead with Lucas covering, but we'll miss so much dynamism in attack without 2 up top. Decisions decisions. So glad I'm not a manager.

Hoddle's view on final.

Excerpt from: Glenn Hoddle: I had a headrush. My kids said, ‘What are you doing, dad?’

“We’ve had some fortune but we’ve grabbed that with both hands, with character, belief and talent. One more to go now. And what a time to do this. You couldn’t have written this. Bill Nick couldn’t have written it. It’s like the stars are aligned. The best stadium around, just opened up, and — bang — we’re in the Champions League final.

“There are so many clubs desperate to win the Champions League. Emirates Marketing Project being one. Arsenal over the years. To eclipse those teams would be sensational. More importantly, players would go, ‘Wow. I want to be involved in this club.’ It’s more than a Champions League final. It’s a crossroads for Tottenham.

...

He knows that Saturday will be a particular test for Pochettino’s defence, facing Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, plus “those attacking full backs”, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. “I don’t expect Mauricio to be playing a back three,” Hoddle says. “They will play a back four and probably the diamond. I like the fact he’s trying to keep two up: Moura and Son [Heung-min] will be very interesting with the pace they’ve got. If Liverpool want to throw their full backs that high and leave themselves two v two, Spurs could be in for a very good evening.

“That’s why I’d put Kane on the bench and use him later in the game. The tempo might be too much for him at the beginning. That ankle is not 100 per cent. It can’t be. Once it slows down you will see Harry Kane there, the real Harry Kane. I’d love to let it settle down, for an hour, tell him, ‘You’re a real ace,’ and what a picture of him coming on from the bench for the fans. He’s got more chance of being lethal against Liverpool coming on when they’re tired.”

Hoddle believes Tottenham need a screening midfielder, either Eric Dier or Harry Winks, if fit. “If Dier or Harry Winks plays as the deepest player in the diamond, that’s where you can stop Liverpool because their wide players come inside. They don’t really want to go on the outside, they leave that to the full backs, so you condense that area, have the right people in there, and you hold that line right and Tottenham do hold a nice high line.

“It might be a bit too frantic and too much for Winks, whereas Dier hasn’t had a great season, he’s had appendicitis, some injuries. They might need a bit of a screen there. But I will answer it a different way. Out of all the top six teams in the country, you give me [Jan] Vertonghen on his day and [Toby] Alderweireld on his day, I wouldn’t swap those two for anyone, at City, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. They are the best, with the ball and defensively, so those two have got to step up. It’s vital for Tottenham that those two centre backs, and the holding midfielder, are aware of the break and the pace Liverpool have got.”

In goal, Hoddle believes Alisson has “the edge” over Hugo Lloris, with his distribution and commanding of his area, “but there’s a rick” in the Liverpool keeper. He adds that there is also “a rick with Lloris but he can be your saviour” in games. “Lloris can have an absolute worldie at any time. He’s a World Cup winner, who would love to add the Champions League I’m sure with Tottenham, so if he is on song, he’s at his very best when he is commanding. He just worries me on crosses a bit. As a shot-saver he’s got the edge on Alisson.”

Why is the right sided centre half ‘to be announced’?
