OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Ajax - the second leg

NLS

Gordon Durie
Surely a game of this magnitude deserves it's own thread and with less than 72 hours until kick off I couldn't wait any longer..

Lloris

Trippier Toby Jan Rose

Sissoko Wanyama

Moura Eriksen Dele

Son.

Assuming they are all fit Poch must go for that team.

Get an early goal and their bottle may go.. I am more optimistic going there a goal down than I was going to Emirates Marketing Project a goal up..

Come on you beautiful Spurs...

I would like to see us play the good old double pivot 4-2-3-1 and get Dele further up the pitch where hopefully he can do a bit more. We are lacking a goal threat at the moment. 1 goal in 5 games says it all. Son will be giving it all on his return, lets get Eriksen and Dele up around him.

I dont trust Trippier at the moment so I would like him dropped, but its not likely to happen. With that 4 up front that could cause them some problems. We need to work their keeper more than we did at home.

Bench:

Gazza
KWP
Davies
Sanchez
Dier
Llorente
Kane ( hope so )

I'd take a draw as long as we only lose 6 nil at home to Everton next week.

Top 4 surely wrapped up. Let’s do this!! Go all out as can rest players afterwards.
No reason not to go all in, we need at least two goals. One thing I trust less than the poorest player we've ever had, is our ability to win a penalty shoot-out. Full throttle for 60 minutes and then reassess. Do this and we can field 9 defenders and 2 goalkeepers against Everton for all I care.

Gazzanigga
KWP Foyth Sanchez Davies
Marsh Dier Skipp
Lucas Llorente Son

Huge game on Sunday making sure we don't lose 7-0 to Everton at home.
Remember qualifying for the Champions League next season is more important than competing in it this season.

Wanyama Sissoko

Eriksen Alli Moura

Really don’t trust Trippier but after Saturday I wouldn’t stick Foyth in there either. Ditto Dier.

We are at our best when no one expects anything of us and we fly under the radar which is why we will win on Wednesday and I hope we play Barca in the final.

So glad that A****al lost. Can put absolutely everything into this one then play like 7 defenders vs Everton and go for the nil nil.

Massive to have CL secure. Means the side can focus fully on this game. I worry about what happens after 65 mins, when the likes of Eriksen, Moura will be tired. But this is it. This is the game to give it all. That is why having CL for next season was so important, now the team can forget about next weekend. Just give everything to this give.

We'll need to finish chances a whole lot better than we have been. Moura is 80% there. He's snatching at his shoots, but looks potent. Both him and Alli need to find the corners of the goal. The biggest problem is Ajax will look at our side and think - if we control Eriksen, Moura and Son, possibly Alli too, where else will a goal come from?

Incisive runs from Rose and Trippier, and Sissoko disrupting and creating space moving forward could be crucial.

So if Ajax manage to defend against 4 of its players, we will find it hard to score. Surely that’s true for any team? If you defend against a Mane, Salah, Firmino, and Robertson then Liverpool would struggle to score. Likewise defend against Aguero, Sterling, Silva, and De Bruyne (if those were the four to start) and City would be extremely limited.
